A quick balcony question...

On the website; you see the term OBSTRUCTED View for some of the balconies. What does this mean, exactly. A pillar/column, a life boat, or what? Thanks.

Depends on the ship and deck!

The only obstructed balconies, to my knowledge, are the 7As on the spirit class ships. Yes. Its lifeboats in the way of the view looking down at the water.

It usually means a lifeboat blocking the view. If you list a specific ship and cabin number, sometimes members can tell you the exact view with pictures included.

Was looking at the Carnival Spirt... Category 7A as mentioned. I guess now, looking at the floor plan, I se the life boats there. How distracting is this? Will it piss me off completely? LOL

I don't think it's distracting at all. The lifeboats (if you book a room that is NOT behind the most forward 3 lifeboats on either side of the ship) are below the railing, so they only block the view directly down to the water. You can see everything in front of you, so these rooms are a really great value.
