Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Apologies, I was referring to the Vistas. I should know better, we have a QM2 Q4 booked for April.
  2. Not much difference between the two. Just different location.
  3. ...providing they manage to sell your original cabin for at least what you paid.
  4. The dart board is in the Golden Lion. No croquet. Possible fencing on sea days, if there is a qualified instructor.
  5. QM2 has an excellent disco - G32, which is always busy.
  6. We've had many trips on both QV and QE on the stern. QV used to have very large balconies but were severely reduced after the refit. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed them, even with the overhang. We have 3 cruises booked on QA, on the deck below your's, so expect it will be fine. Just don't make too much noise above us 🙂
  7. I had just finished the watercolour class in the Britannia, and spotted her sitting all alone. I grabbed the phone and managed to get her indoors who quickly brought the passports down, and after a cursory glance our names were ticked off. Fastest immigration ever.
  8. Anyone can dine in the Britannia for breakfast or lunch.
  9. When you see the king removing his jacket at the table, and slinging over his chair, then we can all do it. Until then, leave it on.
  10. It should be a tux or dinner suit, but with so many trying to drag down the dress code, they've made concessions. As I have stated previously, the Cunard dress code is the MINIMUM not the target. In QG on a Gala night almost all men are in tux/dinner suit, and on Smart nights it's mostly still jackets. You can never be overdressed but enjoy yourself too!
  11. It can be very much hit and miss. As mentioned above, put it on your Roll Call to establish interest. Traditionally, meets are held on first sea day, either at 11:00am or 2:00pm, in the Commodore Club, port side. You will get no help from anyone. I've been to a few that were quite well attended. Similarly, I've been to a few, when despite many responding on the Roll Call site only two or three turned up. With so much going on, people simply forget. Good luck.
  12. Surely not a Pilot Boat? They're not equipped for MEDEVAC. Not an RNLI lifeboat perhaps? We've watched a Pilot Boat bring out a stranded (late) passenger at a Spanish port. At the time the charge for that was €500.
