  1. Yes,we had our Cinco Demayo Dinner tonight. Frozen Margarita and Frozen Peach Margarita and 2 Shrimp Fajitas Then there was this strange guy in a rabbit suit....still trying to figure out what that was all about. .
  2. Check this out, we drove Sunset beach to look around on the way back we went trough Shallotte, NC and saw a tree that is over 2000 years old. Here are the Pictures I took and a video I found about the tree. https://www.wral.com/video/lifestyles/travel/video/12575149/ The tree is huge.
  3. Just know if you book a JS on the aft on deck 7 like @Luckynana mentioned those cabins are kind of dug out into the back of the hull and get No sun whats so ever. If you like lots of shade they are okay, also being in those cabins you can not look straight down to the ocean either. There is like a dance floor area outside your balcony below. If you are to book one of those cabins book on the aft facing the wake either #7708 or #7408 is the one to pick. Those are regular size cabins but have the larger balconies on the entire ship, even including the suites. These balconies also allow you to look to the sides of the ship too because there is a large open like port hole opening to look through. Really a nice cabin for the reduced price compared to a JS.
  4. Here are a few pictures from the River Walk in Wilmington,NC Walk way is 1.75 miles long.............we walked about a half mile up to across from the Battle Ship and another half mile back to our car. It was getting warm and very humid. Cape Fear Memorial Bridge One of the many restaurants along the walk. My Yacht called Happy Hour pulled up for us. Tour boat. The Battle Ship North Carolina across the Cape Fear River. One of the many shops along the walk way.
  5. Some pictures of our North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher visit. Otters were so cute swimming around, my Wife wanted to take one home. Even had one that was an albino. One huge shark in this large tank Stingray Hammerhead Shark Gift Shop Outside Snack Bar with tables This was outside showing the height the water got after a hurricane at this point around the aquarium. Highest height was back in 1954 Hurricane Hazel. like 17 ft.
  6. Maybe a second home or a second home made into a AirBNB when we aren't using it. But the way prices are so high here right now may be a straight out move once my Wife retires in 2 or 3 years.
  7. Saw the nice blue and white sign when we drove from Wilmington over the Bridge saying Welcome to Leland, didn't drive straight though, we made a left and headed back to Southport. Looked like a nice area though. Much better then Wilmington itself I'm sure.
  8. For @Ocean Boy History of the Oak Island Light house which can be seen from Southport. https://www.oakislandlighthouse.org/ Keep watching this video and you will get a good look of the light house. https://surfchex.com/sppssl.php There is some beautiful sunsets on this site too, maybe not tonight though, pretty cloudy down here tonight, but save the link and try later in the summer months.
  9. Just got back from our 2nd cruise in the last 3 days............Happy times !!😁😎 We only had about 15 cars onboard, usually holds 30 to 40 cars. Wake View, no balcony 😞 This another ferry with cars on it goin going the opposite way. Rusty Barge anchored out in the harbor. This is where our ferry docks and we drive off the ferry. Could not get a closer shot because they made us get back into our cars so we were ready to drive off asap!!
  10. Hope your insurance comes through for you and you get it refunded without having to jump through hoops.
  11. Is that a change as to what Royal told you earlier about getting a refund for the missed portion of the rest of the cruise?
  12. Dinner last night at Southport Gourmet and Sushi Bar. We shared an Entree and a Sushi Roll. Also an interesting house build here as the builder built the house around this very old tree in their front yard. Zoom in to the 2 pictures and you can see how the roof edge is built around the very large tree limb.
