carmel Posted July 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2017 I would very much appreciate any suggestions/advice on a nice hotel for a week's stay in Isla Verde. We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard and loved the location/grounds but right at the end, we ran into some very poor customer service. We were set on staying there for a week next year but are now open to exploring the other hotels right there on the beach. Problem is, I don't know any of them. Could someone help me out? What are some other hotels right there. I would greatly prefer one like the Courtyard where you can walk out on the beach with chairs, umbrellas and a pool. We would like to stay in that price range as well. Thank you SO much. I'm at a loss to where to start looking for hotels in that area. I know there are some SJ experts here who can lend some insight. :)
cruiser123! Posted August 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2017 Not sure how many are in your party, but try VRBO. We found a one bedroom (+couch to sleep four) condo w/ parking, pool and laundry right on the beach for less than $200 a night after taxes and insurance. kayehall Posted August 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2017 I think there is an Embassy Suites there. Rooms are larger, cook to order breakfast included and 2 hour complimentary happy hour!!
Crystal04 Posted August 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2017 I stayed in Isla Verde through AirBnB. The owners picked me up from the airport and dropped me off at the port. It was right on the beach. It was perfect, I ended up staying there again a few months later.

The Embassy Suites is not on the beach. It is about a 3 to 4 block walk to the beach but they do have an area on the beach with chairs and umbrellas. slidergirl Posted August 13, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 13, 2017 Is there a reason you are set on spending a week in the city? There are marvelous beach hotels outside of San Juan, set right on the Caribbean/Atlantic, not in a lagoon. If you are willing to explore those options, some of us can offer good options.
