BOB, How to find out if a sailing has a theme, or is booked by a group

Okay just joined our cruise thread for AUGUST 24, 2018 Explorer of the Seas and one of the participants posted that this is a ROCK AND ROLL cruise.

If so can be very exciting for the DH

How can I find out more information on this....

How do people know?

As always

Thanks

Sue

Google what you typed. Hope you like Bowzer.

If you don't buy your cruise through that group, you most likely will not have access to their entertainment though, so something to consider.

Thanks for the google idea.................sometimes the obvious alludes me.

Also......................

Just wish there was a site easily found on CC to find this stuff out.

Thanks again.

That's right...if you are NOT part of the "group" and paid the increased fares that "group" cruises cost, you are unlikely to be able to access any of their concerts/dances, etc. On some of these music cruises, a band might play once on the pool deck for all's enjoyment. Hopefully, that will be your case! Fingers crossed!

the lines will not, for privacy reason, make it possible for random people to search the demographics of a particular cruise. nor will they release any such information.

After reading about some complaints from cruisers who found many amenities closed off to them during a 'group cruise' I googled my cruise date and came up with a very conservative religious group, so I was a bit concerned the same might happen on our cruise. I called the travel agent listed and asked for price, and asked how many people had booked- when they told me 300 I stopped worrying. You will probably have several groups on your cruise but be unaware of them until you see maybe one lounge closed off for 'private meeting of xyz group' . I would only be concerned if they were the great majority of the cruisers, which could change the entire atmosphere of the cruise. As others have said here, they are not going to open up their activities to someone who hasn't paid..
