Hello,

We just returned from our cruise :(. It was great to be on a ship again. No real problems to report. The first few days there was a problem with the phone system, but they worked 24/7 the fix it. Not a big issue for us. The ship does still have the aft vibration. I only really noticed it in the dining hall and serenity area. It was only a problem the day I was feeling some sea sickness symptoms. I still finished my meal and never got sick.

I celebrated my birthday on Thursday. I entered it on my booking. The first night we ate at the steakhouse. They gave me a free desert and sang happy birthday to me. The next day I received a birthday card with a $50 spa gift card from our room steward. On my birthday they provided me with a small white birthday cake and sang happy birthday in the main dining room. It was very nice, but the cake was awful, at least to us. It was reversed of most cakes. It had thick layers of whipped frosting and thin layers of cake. I'm just not a fan of whipped frosting. I still ate it all, because of the kind gesture.

At Cabo we just ate at Taco Loco and did some shopping. The food was good and the beer cheap. In Mazatlan we took a water taxi to Stone Island. We spent the day at Lefty's. We had a great time. The beer and food were cheap and good. The coconut shrimp and bbq chicken skewers most be tried. We rode an atv and rented a boogie board. All together our bill was under $80 for 4 people. We loved it there. In Puerto Vallarta we went deep sea fishing with Captain Francisco and Juan. They did a great job trying to find fish for us. After almost 2 hours we started finding Jack Crevelles. We caught 2 and lost a third at the boat. We really enjoyed the trip. Back at the Marina they called us a cab. We ended up with Virgilio and hired him for the day. He was awesome and really fun to be with. We went to Bungee Beat and my daughter and I bungee jumped for the first time. It was a rush. Next we went to Predator Zip lines. He got us a $20 per person discount. The zip lines were really fun. This was our first time doing that too. He then took us to the shopping area near the malecon. After a long exhausting day, he returned us to the ship. We were charged $700 pesos for 4 people. We definitely would hire him again!!

The casino was fun. I took a total of $700, one hundred a day, to donate to the casino. I ended up with over 1900 points and got my drink on us card. I walked away with $200. I was happy considered I expected to be down $700, not $500. I look at the casino as a form of entertainment and not riches.

It was very nice to have the new expanded cheers. I got several different coffee drinks from the coffee bar. We also stocked up on bottled waters and power aid for shore time.

We saw whale spouts, dolphins and jumping manta rays. We really enjoyed the cruise. Until next time, thanks.

We were on this cruise also the vibration was annoying thats for sure. We went on a snorkel trip in Cabo will not do this one again (snorkel fiesta) we went on the chileno santa maria last year was a blast. Little instruction given on this one except to not flush the toilet paper down on the boat. One lady was pushed into rocks and received several cuts she had never snorkeled. A couple of people fell on the boat. We were in a area roped off to snorkel with about 50 others when we got there not much room. They then handed out chips and salsa none left when they got to us after asking three times for drinks finally got our watered down drink. They then drove us to the arch but never said anything about it. The music was loud but it was far from a party!! We stayed on the ship in Mazatlan best day ever lots of sun and pool time. PV we did the extreme zip line after shopping and a quick trip to WallyWorld for vanilla. The zip line trip was fabulous really safe we are 60 and grandkids are 12-13 great for all ages. last two sea days not much to do upper decks closed to windy. Cloudy cold and windy so no pool time. Thought the entertainment was good but it was all this same could have been one show (music and dance from 70-current)each night. Dinning has become very casual even on formal nights. Food was great housekeeping goes way beyond.

we booked the miracle aft wrap on deck 4 for July 2017. Many say this is the best cabin on the ship. Is the vibration you speak of all day, all night, only when porting? I definitely don't want to pay that kind of money for an aft suite for it to be ruined by a vibrating room all the time.

thanks for your insight.

hmmm...24/7 vibration in our cabin. This worries me. This is a celebration cruise for my husband's 40th with friends that booked the opposite aft wrap suite on deck 4 so we'll both be in the vibration zone.

You say it puts you to sleep so to me that means it's sort of in the background and not that bad.

When porting on the NCL Dawn last year in an aft suite, you could feel everything and it was loud and intense. But it was never when we were sleeping...

No passenger talent show (we really enjoyed that last year) The vibration is 24/7 at the chefs demo at Nick and Nora's ( which I recommend) it's a small plate meal not just a sample , the plates about vibrated off the table.

We did the same cruise about 4 weeks ago. Miracle was fine but vibration was the worst we have ever experienced. It was so bad in our stateroom (6289) on deck 6, about a third forward from stern, that we actually shoved towels under the bed legs to try and absorb at least a little bit of it. We are not light sleepers but it made it tough. Felt like we were in one of those old hotel beds with the Magic Fingers vibra mode that would not turn off. Was always present when ship moving at 18 to 22 kts (which means pretty much always except at port). Our kids were in an adjoining room (further aft) and the vibration was about half what we felt in our stateroom. That being said, we had a great time on the cruise though and are thinking about doing it again in the next 6 months or so. But if we do, we will definitely book a room further forward.

I was in 5299 on the 4/16 cruise and yes there is a slight vibration in the aft but it is more like background noise and definitely not a bed shaking, glass jiggling experience.

I've had aft balconies on four Spirit class ships, three Conquest class and the Breeze and perhaps I'm not sensitive to it but the only instance of extreme vibration was on a B2B on Liberty. The ship hit a fishing net and had to shut down one engine. The initial vibration was pretty bad and the subsequent vibration was very noticeable until we arrived in Miami. The net was removed and the ship sailed on time that night. The vibration was gone.

My wife and I may not be that sensitive to vibration but I do believe the reports of terrible vibration are from people who are "overly" sensitive to it.

Take care,

Mike

No, it is just a little vibration that happens with certain types of propulsion. I was on the Miracle last year and booked it again for this year.

Thank you for the great review. we leave in 14 days for the Miracle. Can you explain the "expanded cheers program"? Are specialty coffees such as lattes and mochas available with program? I thought they were not BUT on our last RCCL cruise those were included in the price. Thanks!
