SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 2109

DECK #: 12

CLASS: Concierge

AREA: Mid Ship

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: This cabin is near the pool area and under the OceanView Cafe. That said, it was pretty darn quiet. You could hear some carts overhead but it never woke us up or interfered with anything. You could not hear anything from the pool area even when the sea day music was in full swing.

BALCONY VIEW: Hump cabin - not obstructed but back of hump so could only see aft

BALCONY SIZE: extended

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We would definitely book this cabin again - great location, very, very low noise - excellent cabin

SHIP: Eclipse

CABIN #: 1403

DECK #: 10

CLASS: S1

AREA: Aft Facing Corner Sky Suite

BED NEAR: Door

QUIET?: Very

BALCONY VIEW: Obstructed

BALCONY SIZE: Huge

WIND A PROBLEM?:not much

SOOT A PROBLEM?:no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:This is being marketed as an SI Sky suite NOT as an obstructed view. There is a huge rusty window cleaning apparatus blocking 1/3 of the balcony. We were extremely upset since we paid top dollar. Celebrity did make it up to us, and claim they will be making changes to this Class. None of the other corner aft suites (except the one on the other side of Deck 10) have this obstruction. If you view a picture of the outside of ship, it is clearly visible. BEWARE!!! As we told Celebrity, we booked this 2.5 yrs before we sailed...we could have very easily chosen any other deck, and not had the awful view.

Ship: Equinox

Cabin #: 1674

Deck #: 11

Class: Concierge C1

Area: Aft, center

Bed Near: Balcony

Quiet: Yes, for the most part. You could hear chairs and tables being scooted around two decks above at the bar. It didn't bother us much. We really heard no noise from neighbors. When they hosed off decks above, the water would rain down on our balcony and we'd have to go in.

Balcony View: Aft, wake. Unobstructed.

Balcony Size: Large, it was about 30% wider that regular aft balcony. We had two loungers, two footstools, and a table. Plenty of room to move around furniture. It got a lot if sun.

Wind a problem? No.

Soot a problem: Not really. A few specks here and there.

Problems/Comments: Great cabin and we would book it again. We really didn't have issues with people above us looking down. Comfortable bed. Good attendant. Room service was always early.

I have updated the amazing librarylady19’s S Class Cabin spreadsheet and it can be found here: S Class Cabins

I maintain two threads just like this. One is for Royal Caribbean https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P02jhe9iw-mXyk3L9xhEJ_8lv_j4LHI6Qt0TMYy_WP8/edit?pli=1#gid=109586028 and the other is for Princess https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iJDFCtotsFNUvSNFzZ3LXomW95WX7R0svO7JhGRBvpo/edit?pli=1#gid=530283129.

I have a couple of suggestions that might be helpful including how viewers can sort and filter the spreadsheet to find what they are interested in. E-mail me at srice@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Ship- Equinox

Deck - 10

Cabin # - 1068

Class – Concierge (C2)

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard mid ship

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Was quiet from our point of view, was never awaken by hallway noise

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Large "support" betwen balcony of 1066 and 1068 so cant pass through if companion traveler in 1066. 1070 is ok for this. Over hang provided shade except when sun was low enough in morning or afternoon to shine in.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal size.

Was wind a problem? Not a problem per se. Of course when winds are high and ship is travelling there was salt spray.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem?

Any specific problems with this cabin? No

Any other comments?

It is hard to believe that this thread is still going after several years. When I started it the class was new and no one knew anything about the cabins. I am happy to see that people continue to use it and add new information to it.

Ship- Equinox

Deck - 8

Cabin # - 8230

Class – 1A

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard mid ship

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet at all times, even when music was being played in the grand foyer on deck 3

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Oversized balcony - first cabin on angle of hump facing forward. Only two chairs and round table on the balcony; no footstools, unfortunately.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? Oversized.

Was wind a problem? Not a problem most the time. Was breezy when moving and the sea breeze was blowing. Didn't mind that since we drying our bathing suits by hanging them over the backs of the chairs, using large towel clips to keep them in place.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem?

Any specific problems with this cabin? None

Any other comments? Great mid-ship location and easy to walk up or down to food and entertainment decks if you don't want to use the elevators. Am booked in same cabin on Reflection and would definitely book this cabin again.

Who is maintaining the spreadsheet now?

Perhaps the spreadsheets for the different classes should be merged. It would be easy to add a column for class for sorting and/or filtering.

SHIP: Equinox

CABIN #: 6194

DECK #: 6

CLASS: 2D

AREA: midship

BED NEAR: bath

QUIET?: yes

BALCONY VIEW: obstructed. One of the larger lifeboats/tenders is directly in front of the balcony. Can't see anything while seated, but views are fine if you're standing at the rail.

BALCONY SIZE: normal

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Many seem to shy away from 2D rooms due to the word "obstructed"; however, I'm glad we tried this room. It's not like you can't see the water. You just can't look straight down to see anything.

Thanks to srice the functionality of the SCabin spreadsheet is much improved.
