I was just about to say that. We sailed on the original Love Boat. I miss the orchestra playing it at every opportunity.

Here's one for us "Old timers" out there. Though it's very unlikely you'll hear it on the radio, I just ran across a wonderful old one that I had once downloaded for my parents: My dad was a singer, and I remember him singing it to me when I was a little girl.

I too sailed on the original Pacific Princess....and yes, they played it at the opening of every evening's show.

Princess exploited the song in their media advertising for many years, as well, but then, for a long time, they seemed to completely ignore the tune (perhaps they did not renew their license to use it?)

But now, their ships horn's play the opening bars to it, as they sail away...kind of an answer to Disney ship horns playing "When You Wish Upon A Star"...:cool:

It came on a TV show after we booked our first cruise and I kept humming it leading up to it. My husband played it when we first got to our cabin on that voyage.

Any of Zac Brown Band's island influenced songs, my favorite is probably "Jump Right In"

"You're My Best Friend" by Queen. Carnival used it in an ad campaign in 2012 and it stuck! Everytime I hear it, I end up looking up potential cruises!

"Somewhere Beyond the Sea" is a close second. Zac Brown's "Knee Deep" is right there too. And my husband hates the song, but "Cake by the Ocean" is definitely a fun one! :D
