I haven't cruised in quite a while and have already asked several questions, which many of you have graciously answered.

Here's the next one: what do you tip room service? I'm sailing solo, if that makes a difference.

The guide I use is to tip $2 for a continental breakfast and $5 for larger orders at lunch or dinner. It is not mandatory, but appreciated.

Just coming back to Celebrity from many cruises with HAL and there was always a 15% gratuity already on all Cabin service, not so on Celebrity ??

Room service if free except a few hours when most people are snoozin.

We usually tip a few dollars per person for room service, even though a service charge is paid. We usually have dollar bills with us and for a room service I'd say $4 to $5 is ok.

More than that, at least $10.00

Sheesh the country that insists on tipping everyone has the most questions about it all.

The real answer is as little or as much as you want.

So I am expected to tip money on top of the 15% tip that is already paid. If there is no mandatory tip, I will certainly add a tip but I am not going to double tip on anything. In don't tip at the bar and I will not double tip for room service.

Just to be clear. On Celebrity there is no fee for room service during the day. For late night delivery there is delivery fee. There is no gratuity tacked on to the delivery charge.

Room service tips are appreciated but not expected.

Never paid a room service fee on Celebrity. Always tip ... $2.00 for coffee servuce, more for full meal.
