Twitter right now for Majesty...aborted dock due to violent storm in Nassau.....

Trying to look at the Nassau port web cam (which is down for me) twitter right now has aborted arrival for Majesty of the seas after violent storm in Nassau. Somebody else tweeted is Majesty dead in the water north of Nassau. Does anyone know whats going on?

Looking at the Webcam, it appears overcast/cloudy and maybe windy.

The Oasis is currently the only ship docked.

MarineTraffic shows that the Majesty is stopped a bit North of Nassau -at least as of an hour ago when the last positioning update was received.

Chatted with someone on Majesty. Ship made an attempt to dock but because of inclement weather, the captain made a decision to head back out to sea.

A friend of mine currently on Oasis, says he saw Majesty attempting to dock but then was unable to pull in so they turned around and left.

You are welcome :) now to figure out if Marine Traffic is accurate and she is still out there at a stand still or at sea.

i am currently on the Oasis in port. The weather I saw from my balcony did not seem that bad as we approached the port. I did see another ship behind us, but really did not pay any attention to what was going on with it, Our balcony faces the ocean, had we been on the other side we might have seen more.

But when we went up to the LIDO, i was surprised to see no other ships in port.

Current weather is 66F , with a wind out of the west, up to 35 MPH, although the captain just announced that they expect the winds to diminish.

Ship is pretty crowded for a port day.

Pretty sure they are. CC even has a FB page. I just don't think you can link to FB pages to solicit payments or sell travel services.

We're going to be on her in exactly 3 weeks. Sure hope we don't have this weather to deal with. Yikes!! :eek:
