NWACruiser Posted June 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2017 We are cruising on the Legend in two weeks. The cruise is out of Seattle. We are arriving on Monday. We also have FTTF. For those that have experience with the port, what is the best time to arrive? We would like to be able to embark as soon as possible when FTTF is called. We do not want to wait in long lines, either. Any input will be appreciated.
Rare mexicobob Posted June 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2017 We were on the same cruise last June. Were in a suite so got priority boarding. We were on the ship eating lunch by noon. They had already started boarding when we arrived so not sure when they started. There were no lines at that time. This is a smaller ship than some so less people. The boarding time will vary since it has to be cleared by customs first. Carnival has no control over that. You will be coming from Victoria, Canada the night before, hence the customs. You will not have to wait in line if you have FTTF. If you get there too early you will just have to wait for boarding to start. Fabulous cruise. easyboy Posted June 28, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2017 I suggest checking in around 11:00, though you can do so earlier with your FTTF. Should be just a short wait till boarding if on schedule. ABQrobin Posted June 28, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2017 It is a smaller ship, with less people! No need for FTTF in my opinion. We checked in, and sat in waiting room around 30 minutes...then pretty much everyone got up and was on the ship, row by row. It was FAST. Ditto getting off the ship...easiest port ever. You just walk off the ship and no Customs, just hand your declaration slip to a clerk as you exit the building. Fast fast fast.
zdcatc12 Posted June 28, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 28, 2017 Last week, we arrived at 12:30. Had a short wait at security, none at check-in and then walked right on.
FlaMommy75 Posted June 28, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 28, 2017 We had FTTF on our June 6th Legend cruise. Arrived to port about 10:45am and eating on Lido by 11:45...very smooth! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
NWACruiser Posted June 30, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted June 30, 2017 Thanks for the input. It appears if we get there around 10:30, we will not have to wait too long.
kctwinmommy Posted June 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 30, 2017 I actually talk about this in my review (posted in my signature). I was just looking at it the other day, so I said about what time we got there and when we got on the ship, etc... We had FTTF.
NWACruiser Posted July 2, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted July 2, 2017 One more question about the port. Prior to debarkation, does the Legend have Airport check-in, as advertised by the Port of Seattle? https://www.portseattle.org/Cruise/Services/Pages/default.aspx If so, what is the process how smooth is it?
