At the end of their Santa run, Santa & his helpers in their yellow fire suits will meet & greet the kiddos 🚒🎅🎄

Slowly watching the final season of The Crown. Just watching one episode at a time. It’s so humid here right now, that I watch an episode each night to cool down after taking Max for a long post dinner walk. Last night I watched the episode focusing on that fateful night in Paris. I think the actors that play Diana, Dodi and young William were cast well.

We had unexpected smoke haze in Sydney all day today. From bushfires burning 500km away. There are currently 76 fires burning in NSW. We are expecting the smoke haze in Sydney to clear overnight.

One of the large Australian waste management companies has advised today that services in the Cairns & Port Douglas area are impacted as the roads to the only landfill in the region are cut and the the roads have been significantly damaged.

Christmas lunch near Narrabeen Beach today. Family that swam at the beach afterwards said the sea temps were gorgeous. In the late afternoon, dropped some gifts off at my friends’ place. Decided to check out the new lookout that was installed by the council in the area.

@ValerieJo How special to see your granddaughter’s first dance recital. She is a beauty and that smile says she enjoyed herself.

Another hot day yesterday. Went into the city in the afternoon for a couple of the Christmas markets. Funny to see adult Sydneysiders get excited by the fake snow that was sprayed above the French Christmas Markets square and because of the heat, the outdoor eateries near the Opera House were spraying a very fine mist to keep diners cool. Nice and cool inside the Art Gallery of NSW, viewing the current Kadinsky exhibition. The “Maman” sculpture by Louise Bourgeois - first time it’s come to Australia - was impressive to see up close, including the egg sac. Lots of families relaxing in their sun shelters in The Domain - large open green space near the Art Gallery - waiting for the free annual Carols in the Domain Christmas concert in the eve.

You love decorating your home for Christmas both indoor and outdoor but I know you are scaling back on the lighting. So, to have this permanent, year round outdoor lighting of your home will make you happy. Go for it.

I don’t have Amazon Prime but Florence Pugh is an actress worth watching.
