  1. Can anyone who is on Aurora now please send a copy of the bar opening times please? Thank you
  2. I am too but hate a warm cabin. On the last March Northern Lights cruise I did on Aurora in 2020, the cabin temperature was unbearable at night. On the coolest setting it was 26 C. I had them out four times to no avail. It’s more than likely you will be dressed for the outside on a cold weather cruise, so it’s even worse. I hasten to add I’ve been on twice since in autumn and it was fine. I fear though they will ramp the heating up in advance of the colder air as they usually do and it’s awful.
  3. I hate jam shed! But everyone had their own preferences!
  4. You’ve seen the light and come to Derbyshire. My better half is a yorkieabroad and yorkieaboard. Greetings from Chesterfield.
  5. 2-3 times mark up is standard. They are a business
  6. We did that too! Think we flew out about 26/27 Dec to Acapulco. We refuelled in Halifax and got stuck on the tarmac for hours in a blizzard. It took ages to get there.
  7. We did it on Arcadia over Christmas/New Year 2008 😁. Started in Acapulco and did it the other way. Nicaragua, Costa Rica on the Pacific side. Didn’t get off in Panama City.
  8. Agree. The other issue is that whilst many people say vegans etc cannot meat and dairy, in most cases that isn’t true. They choose not to eat meat/dairy. That is the same as me choosing to eat a diet including meat, fish and dairy (and veg). I don’t think either camp should be made to eat a diet they don’t choose. There should be plenty of choices for all.
  9. We had this thought too. I like vegetarian dishes. Less so vegan.
  10. They didn’t read our names out as they said there were too many but when we got back to the suite it was on the bed
  11. You should get it on board. Ours was a Tiffany gold pin
  12. Far too many vegan and vegetarian dishes proportionately on that lunchtime menu
  13. I pre booked Aurora sindhu before our one week Atlantic cruise august bank holiday/sept 23
  14. Hi. I’m aware the tv kit on Aurora is not the best. I’m considering getting the star link streaming package and wondered if anyone has been successful, particularly on aurora, or the other older ships, in streaming from iphone to tv. Ideally it's my phone that i will have on the package, so presume some sort of mirroring would be required. I think it's possible that perhaps you can get some sort of cable from ipad to tv to do the job too but not sure and then that would need to be my device. Thank you 👍🏻
  15. Hi Brian. Don’t want to overtake Selbourne’s excellent thread but we’ve done this twice. See post
  16. Very often the air bridge as the flight is known can be cancelled/diverted. It’s also expensive and a really long flight on what used to be old equipment.
  17. We’ve visited the Falklands once on a cruise but before that twice using BA to BA then LAN ( now part of LATAM) from BA-Santiago-Punta Arenas-MPA (Falklands). Not for the feint hearted! The beauty of the Falklands is island hopping on the small FIGAS planes, the friendly locals and fantastic wildlife.
  18. Had notification last night that Encore Israel stop in November 2025 is substituted for Santorini. Unsurprising.
  19. Lucky. Waited 1.5hrs on Aurora sometimes in September
