  1. Hi. Is it possible to get an actual bottle of the house champagne in the suite during the cruise now? I recall in earlier days, apart from the welcome aboard bottle, it was always delivered by the glass?
  2. Experienced a med “hurricane” on seabourn sojourn late Oct 2018. We were sailing North after Civitavecchia. Winds over 100mph off the coast of Italy Missed three ports due to damage at the ports etc Can be and mostly is fine. I should add that we sailed for 19 nights in the Med last October and the weather was gorgeous with flat calm seas for the most part and temperatures up to the mid to high 70s. From Wikipedia Storm Adrian was an intense Mediterranean storm which brought severe conditions to Northern Italy and surrounding regions. it was one of the costliest of the 2018-19 named storms, causing £2.9 billion (≥ €3.3 billion) in damages. It formed over the western Mediterranean Sea on October 28. The storm made landfall in Corsica on 29 October with powerful wind gusts in excess of 189 km/h (117 mph), winds the equivalent of a Category 3 hurricane. The storm made landfall along the French Riviera later that day, bringing high winds, heavy rain, thunderstorms and a severe storm surge. The storm's weather front brought similar problems to northern Italy and the Adriatic coast. Throughout Italy, 11 fatalities were reported.
  3. I use passageweather.com. First saw it being used in Antarctica on seabourn and has served me well since. I particularly like the swell chart, which is the third one down after clicking on an area. When I looked in relation to the original post, at that current time it was showing a swell height of 8-10m. It can be higher. Always useful for the ferry crossing to Shetland in winter! The forecast is every so many hours then less frequent as time progresses.
  4. Don’t they have a special menu for vegans/vegetarians anyway, like they used to?
  5. We didn’t all buy at the current low share price though!
  6. I got one yesterday saying my credit had been declined in the e mail title but the body text said it had been applied 🤔
  7. Looking forward to another live report. We need more!!
  8. Strange. I used that e mail on Thursday and received no auto reply. Will try again
  9. Lovely boys and pics. Was this the adventure drive trip?
  10. Good question. I’d like to know the same for 29 nights Sojourn (roughly). Thanks
  11. Similar to margbem, I’ve been in shorts/sun tops hiking ashore from a cruise in July. It was in the 80s. Really does depend on prevailing weather patterns.
  12. Thank you SLSD - sorry, I have only just seen this. I really appreciate you digging in the WPB for me!!
  13. Mysteriously, after posting this, the UK Office has contacted me late today after many weeks of not responding, to see if they can assist with one element of my query to the Office of the President (read between the lines - to sell me something) and they ‘believe’ someone on behalf of the Office will contact me. Well, gee, I won’t hold my breath. Thanks. The e-mail address is officeofthepresident at seabourn dot com. I hope you have more luck. The UK e mail then went on to say if you want anything else use the [standard email]. I thought the new president did want to hear our constructive thoughts. Perhaps not.
  14. I tried a few weeks ago but no response. Also to a chaser. Think if you have a uk address you are ignored as per a previous poster. I won’t share the address I used (which has worked before) as I would be interested to know if it has changed.
  15. Hi Floris. That’s really helpful thanks. I hope they do this for UK Citizens too
  16. If anyone is reading this from the UK who is onboard, would you mind sharing current visa requirements and how you dealt with these/ease/cost for the ports north of Cape Town, to Cape Verde please?
