Yes, much appreciative of this wonderful review. As someone who will be sailing in a porthole balcony and will not have access to Luminae or Blu, this review is great.
It seems like demand for European cruises isn't as strong as expected. NCL had planned for the Epic to be year round in the Med but now nixed that plan and she will be in Port Canaveral in the winter. I know when the cruiselines released figures a few months ago,
Sailings in Europe were at less than 100 percent capacity while sailings in the Caribbean were over 100 percent capacity
So, my guess is that Celebrity determined it would be more profitable at this time to base the Beyond year round in Florida.
Dumb question- Does the Martini Bar serves soda? Would it be acceptable to order an included wine under the classic package and a coke if my husband and i want to hang there?
Congrats on the Ph.D, new job, and new home. We went to Aruba on our honeymoon over 25 years ago. The A.B.C's are a great itienrary and you already know that you like the Equinox. Have a wonderful trip.
We did a land trip when our cruise was cancelled due to the pandemic. We went to Anchorage, Seward (Kenai Fjords National Park) , Matanuska Glacier, Talkeetna, and Denali, of course. It was wonderful. Still would like to do a cruise.
My husband and I are booked on the Apex in 2024 with family. I linked the reservations.
If my family cancels their cruise which they may, will my cruise be affected? Should I de-link the reservations? My husband and I are still planning to go.
Beyond does have aft balconies called sunset verandas but they sell out frequently.
Sailing on the Apex next year. We have a porthole veranda and my cousin has a sunset veranda.
Thanks Bridgemates and Georgia Peaches.
I have found a private company that we can arrange through but wanted to wait to see if Celebrity offers first. My husband is most interested in the dune buggy excursion so I think we will focus on that one. Does Celebrity usually dock at Taino Bay?
Our cruise on the Apex isn't for a few months.
However, there are already a lot of excursions listed in the cruise planner including quite a few for Puerto Plata. However, I don't see any atv, dune buggy or Damagagua (sp?) Waterfalls excursions. Is that because Celebrity attracts an older demographic or will it be added later?
We did 4 days pre-cruise in Oahu before boarding the Pride of America in 2017. It was one of our best trips ever. It was a great way to island hop. The 4 days pre-cruise gave us time to go to Pearl Harbor, visit the North Shore, and get over our jetlag. We stayed at the Outrigger Reef which was wonderful.
We will be sailing on Apex in a porthole veranda and sunset veranda. Have only sailed on Celebrity once before.
Where is the best place for sailaway - Sunset bar or Magic Carpet?
