  1. Everyone has access to it. You'll find it if you open the MDR menu in the Hub App or via the QR code on the table. You just need to keep swiping left until you find the Vegan menu. That's also how you find the Gluten Free menu.
  2. There may be some vibration from the Bolt coaster, but it runs fairly limited hours.
  3. The events are really similar so it could be good for some nostalgia, there is a slightly different (improved?) menu for the thing 1 and 2 breakfast.
  4. They are usually associated with the deck party happening that night. White hot party, 80s rock n' glow party, etc are the most notable. Venezia has the Italian festival deck party, and one of the formal nights is Venetian themed so there are lots of people dressing up wearing masks.
  5. Hope you'll be sharing your land portion of the trip. Thanks for sharing your travels with us!
  6. I've been really enjoying your review. The color palette of your clothing is very similar to mine. 🖤 Your discussion of the early morning immigration stop has made me remember my first cruise in 2004 where we stopped in St. Thomas and had US Immigration on the ship and we had to wake up early and go deck by deck to be processed before we could be let off the ship for the day. I do not miss those days. I think those bouys could be attached to a crab pot like on Deadliest Catch.
  7. Thanks for the invite, I'd love to but unfortunately we just got off the ship yesterday 😞
  8. We just saw a Spotted Lantern Fly on the Venezia to Bermuda, it was quickly smushed and the commonwealth of Bermuda now owes us something for our efforts to maintain their ecosystem, right?
  9. You can only buy wine at liquor stores/wine shops in NY state, what they have at CVS will be a large wine cooler. How far is walking distance to you? Not a lot of shops along the west side highway you will need to head east to hit shops that will have what you need.
  10. I fully encourage you to bring a costume. Some people always plan to sail around Halloween for the extra festivities. The actual trick or treating is generally reserved for the kids, and is a bit of a scavenger hunt for them to spread them out. But it is mainly on interior decks so if you want to avoid hoards of kids stick to Serenity/pool areas/the casino when its scheduled.
  11. I don't think its crazy getting in a day earlier to avoid weather problems, I wonder how many people may not have the capability or forethought to do that and will miss the ship.
  12. If you try to add cruise cash to your account on the Carnival website you can't select which person it is for, it is general money for the cabin. As dallasdan said you should control spending by setting up overall spending limits for each kid at $200 for the cruise, you can also do it as a daily value. You can always go and increase the limit during the cruise with little hassle if you want them to have more. I set my kid up with a $50 max. for the cruise (she was 6) and she wanted to use her card for Build a Bear since her grandma gave her an onboard credit for it which basically knocked out her entire spending allowance. I was able to change her limit via the Hub App easily.
  13. re: keeping track of their spending. They can track their spending 1. in the Hub App on their phones which will show them what they've spent 2. on the tv in the room 3. the guest services desk can give them a summary printed out on paper (they may able to access this via one of the automated machines at GS but I am not certain)
  14. This is the point where I'd already start counting the extra weight coming back with me in my suitcase.
  15. If you have mobility issues the elevator thing is a real problem, my parents stayed on deck 14 on the Horizon and the wait for the elevator was a real challenge for them. Meanwhile we were on deck 10 and had amazing elevator service.
  16. I have never once had an issue ordering an alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink at one time with the drink package. It could be a beer and a bottle of water, or a beer and a coke zero. I have never been charged for the non-alcoholic item. Even with DD (also 7) right there with me ordering her evening Shirley Temple while DH and I order a cocktail.
  17. No. All the deals a tied to your past passenger number or lack thereof for those who have never sailed on Carnival. Even for folks within the same cabin there will be different offers. Right now my husband and I have different deals, with different OBC offered. If I travel without him or vice versa we can not pass along the offers that our tied to our individual accounts.
  18. All kids need to be registered with camp ocean - you can do it online before the cruise during the online check in. You don't make reservations for the under 2s playtime, you just show up. They will confirm your online registration details when you come for the open play. In my experience the under 2s time is very under utilized because its usually pretty early in the morning for most cruisers. The staff will bring out lots of toys for you LO to play with.
  19. The only time I've seen Build a Bear twice during a cruise was an 11 night Spring Break cruise out of NYC on the Venezia. I've seen a healthy number of adults without children building bears on every time I've got to a BaB event so you are totally good to participate. Get there early to get a low number otherwise it will take a long time to actually build your bear. On the Celebration the numbers distributed were into the triple digits.
  20. Thank you for sharing your adventure with all of us! Looks like a fantastic time and something none of you will forget.
  21. Meanwhile I'm over here shouting at my computer "CARLOS SAINZ!!!". My brother jokes that the only people who will talk to me about F1 on a cruise ship are the staff members, he's not wrong, and this further illustrates his point.
  22. It is their occupation. Turf wars and all. And glad to hear that you didn't buy wine at a bodega, because what they sell is "wine product" you can ONLY buy wine in NY at a liquor store or wine shop. You can also buy little Fireball shots at the bodega but they are half proof of the real stuff #workarounds.
  23. Excuse me, is this all we get to see of "Giuseppe"? I feel robbed.
  24. Are the balcony light people the same as the TV on all the time people?
  25. I loved the mobile trivia, and didn't play on the Venezia until my last day. 10/10 would play again. I also think way more people participated because it was just happening around the pool at a busy time instead of having to schlepp down to an indoor space somewhere. I think we had around 300 people in our game.
