  1. Sailing out of Miami on the Celebration last week everyone was subject to the drug sniffing dogs before boarding.
  2. You will both pay the RU1 rate for this cruise, so you will both get cheers as part of the promo. I've honestly seen this offer quite a bit but it is usually twice the cost of some of the better offers we get. Why would I pay $2000 more for a promo that would cost me $800 out of pocket? The maximum two guests thing is referring to 3rd/4th people in the room NOT getting the Cheers/bubbles promo. So if you take this promo and roomed with another couple they wouldn't get the promo, and neither would any children.
  3. You can do it as part of your online check in 14 days before your trip.
  4. Celebration all the way. Getting to Galveston is a PITA. One and done for me. The Excel class is great.
  5. Most likely not unless you plan to arrive after 1:30pm. If you want to buy anything on the ship before you can go to your room and get your card you can use the barcode at the top of your check in documents. It will work just the same as you S&S card. The only thing it won't do is open your stateroom door, you'll need your card for that.
  6. OMG. Thank you for putting it in perspective like that.
  7. FaceTime video and audio works on Carnival. You just need to be connecting with someone else who also has an iPhone.
  8. Hulu does not like not having location services disabled. I've never had success with using it on a Carnival ship.
  9. I was going to ask if you've taken any classes. I haven't found many reviews with people taking advantage of them. Looking forward to what you have to say about them.
  10. There is usually only one day they do the Green Eggs and Ham breakfast - usually, not always, with two seatings. It will always be on a sea day. Keep checking before your sailing, they might not have actually released it yet with the proper date. Recent Panorama cruisers might be able to tell you which day it falls on.
  11. Agreed with the poster below sounds like they aren't logged in. General course of action to login: Airplane mode, wifi on - select Carnival shipname wifi Go to gologin.com in a browser, and go to I have a plan and login in They'll need to add the folio information for the person who purchased the plan You can't share plans, if one is correctly logged in the other will not be able to be logged in at the same time. That person will have to go to www.logout.com to log out to allow the other person to login. This is what I do if I want to switch between my devices. If they want to use the plan at the same time they will have to buy two plans.
  12. The "Children 5 years and under do not require a ticket" thing is definitely not for all excursions. I found that Cozumel has a TON of excursions with 5 and under that are free. I think its really up to the tour vendor and not Carnival. My kid is turning 5 in May, we cruise in February, we are trying to squeeze in as many "free" excursions this trip as possible.
  13. We did an all inclusive day pass at Infinity through a Roatan travel provider in 2021. Our driver got us checked in, told us about the drinks, meal, and lead us to our chairs which were to the left of the beach bar hut if you were facing the water. You get a wristband so they can tell those on day passes, full inclusive day passes, and resort guests apart. Honestly I am not sure anyone would've cared if we changed chairs, but we had a nice spot in the shade of the palm trees. We were shaded almost the entire time we were there.
  14. Not sure if this is too late but while Infinity Bay does not have umbrellas I found that the chairs on the beach were 95% shaded from the palm trees and the proximity to the Infinity Bay structures. There were more options in the shade than there were in the sun.
  15. Chiming in to say that the Tabasco's Chef Maestro excursion is wonderful. When I did it with my brother right around the re-start it was the highlight of our day in Cozumel. There were two couples there who return guests, one couple was on their 4th visit. It is a ton of fun, there are lots of free flowing drinks, and the chef has his schtick down to a science. The food was good, and the group made margaritas at the end are fantastic, and very strong. No one really sticks around to hang out in the pool - but we did and never felt like a burden to the staff. We got more drinks and got to watch some of the dolphin experiences below.
  16. You can use it in the casino, there are no restrictions but they will charge a 3% service charge if you use it at table games, no charge at slots.
  17. Oh I don't care about the food, its the bar that I like about Pig and Anchor. The bourbon/whiskey selection is better than any other bar in the fleet. Plus the P&A beers brewed onboard are far superior to the Red Frog brews.
  18. This makes the difference for me. I don't love the Red Frog pub and would much rather have the Guy's Pig and Anchor bar over a Red Frog pub any day. Those who love the embarkation fishbowl/pitcher specials are likely to disagree with me.
  19. As a scotch drinker I have yet to find a glass of scotch over $20 on any Carnival ship. There was a high end Whistle Pig bourbon on the Horizon that was $50 but I'd never pay that for a bourbon, scotch yes, bourbon no. On Celebrity and other lines where you'll pay the difference, you can find many more high end wines and spirits.
  20. The offer mini cribs across the fleet. No pack n plays.
  21. I've been on the Horizon twice and no single bar has a great or complete scotch selection. The Carnival scotch selection isn't very large and most bars around the ship will be hit or miss if they carry a certain kind. I found that the bar near Ocean Plaza will usually have 2-3 different of the higher end scotch selections so I would usually end up there if the bourbons in P&A weren't doing it for me that night. I would suggest trying out some of the bourbons as you might be pleasantly surprised by one or two. I am a big Eagle Rare fan.
  22. I mean it is Carnival after all. I logged in this morning and I am still seeing the cyber Monday offers for wifi and the spa even though it clearly says expires at 11:59p on 11/30. They might need some more time.
  23. Yes, it will be more timely and less finicky than the Carnival app if immediate communication is what you're looking for.
  24. The website is weird, sometimes it says kids under 5 free and then tries to charge you for them, and then other times it says the same thing and won't let you select your kids. Do as the phone agent suggested. Don't select your kids, just be sure to go to the shore ex desk and check in with them to see if you need a free voucher ticket (just for headcount reasons) for your kids. I've done this 3 times over the past 2 years and have never had an issue. It seems a little sketchy but it has not failed me yet.
  25. Yes, it is $5 per person for the length of the cruise. It is not the most reliable, often time messages get delayed and arrive much later than when they were sent. Also if the app is closed you won't get notifications.
