You've been here and on ships long enough to know that's not how RCI works.
Biker, who will be interested to know how this works for folks booked in markets where the port fee is built into the fare.
As reliable as the individual drivers - they won't work for Uber long if they aren't. The chances of any single driver not showing up are very low and a replacement can take over within minutes.
Not everyone gets to participate - calling likely won't change things. The front line RCI CSRs likely won't have much info about how the outside company (Plusgrade) that runs RU operates or why you are not getting an offer.
With the rise in port fees on some sailings those fees could be more than the cruise fare itself - the 9/15 Radiance Alaska cruise is one such sailing. When the prices on short sailings to Bahamas come back down to earth, you could have that there as well.

Unless you need it all the time every day, you can buy a couple of 24 hour packages on board for the sea days - on port days your cell service should work.
