  1. They’ve sent out a pre cruise email to us. It’s headed up your checklist before you go. Some useful content in the link especially if you’re a first time cruiser. However I received it after I completed my first leg of travel. It’s 72 hours to embarkation so is way too late to be useful. Needs to go out 7 days before departure
  2. That sounds much better!
  3. We really enjoyed it. Think Viking Space but with even better food and of course drinks included with excellent service. The entertainment isn’t good but they’re onto that problem and the entertainment director left during our second cruise. It needs a rethink and someone to manage whatever they offer. (I think there was a wrong hire as the lady wanted to be seen as a performer).
  4. Cruise I start Sunday never had such a form. I’m thinking though my agent has all that information and provided it. No email received about a form only emails about environmental rules in Antarctica
  5. If you are booked through a UK agent, your “ personalised book” doesn’t appear online. It is sent to your agent who should forward it to you, however if you phone Azamara and your sailing is in the next month they will email it direct to you. This is based on my very recent experience for a cruise starting on Sunday booked through a UK agent. Your agent has to have sent your payment to Azamara for you to be able to get the booklet. Given you only paid a few days ago you may experience Azamara initially saying no if you call up in the next few days.
  6. The body wash and lotion are fine but the shampoo and conditioner don’t quite have the nutrients many people’s hair needs especially ladies. I always take my own to try to avoid “frizz central”
  7. That menu is really skewed to seafood so maybe one substitute too many needed for some. It all looks very nicely presented though.
  8. They still are. They’re not that great and if you have allergies I would bring my own
  9. The staff on all the ships have had to cope with a whammy of special meals in quick succession - Lunar New Year, Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday and now Valentines. Hope there’s some budget and chef energy still there for the next few days 😃
  10. That is not showing on mine the excursions I’ve booked are there but no way to use the balance
  11. Interesting I have some excursions booked and a balance of OBC still available to me, but it gives me no option to use it - the method does not work in that situation
  12. I’ve had cosmo done within the package. Just ask. It’s ok though blind test to the real deal and you would immediately know it was an adaptation. Yes the yuk rose had a “solid” taste- can’t describe it properly but it was also too sweet and was from Languedoc
  13. Its complicated - many will not realise what the $0 onboard credit excursion is - as I understand that is the Azamazing event. You could be scrolling through so much to find it. And what happens if that is not loaded as is often the case. I get the feeling this is a convoluted work around which is only clear to people more skilled at navigating Azamara's site They need to put that instruction as a link on the manage my booking page, ideally supported by screen shots
  14. Or perhaps they do but no longer feel comfortable to express it/act on it
  15. Maybe. Whilst that may (or may not) be acceptable for restaurant packages I’m sorry but I do not agree re beverage packages because it makes a mockery of the loyalty benefit. “here is your special loyalty benefit but we need to charge you a higher price to benefit”
  16. Thanks for asking- how are others reacting to the price? I wonder what feedback Azamara will be getting on this change Enjoy the rest of your cruise and drink some for me.
  17. Agents calls aren’t getting a response that correctly addresses the problem. Anyway tomorrow is another day we will see what it brings
  18. Also we lost our onboard loyalty discount when upgrading room - we did query twice through LCV but our emails remain unanswered
  19. You cannot do it online you have to call up. If you are a repeat guest do come back and tell us if they gave you the loyalty discount
  20. Very interesting given they declined to do that for me last week - as I reported also for Quest I was told it had to be done onboard at the price prevailing on the day to get the discount. Unfortunately I havent time to call until later on Tuesday but I interpret two things 1. The price is still $26.95 2. You could pre purchase and get the loyalty discount
  21. And if you book on board with the reduced deposit, any cancellation (whether to rebook or not) requires you to pay an additional £250 for a veranda or ocean view and more for a suite. Same applies if you decided to upgrade your booking to a higher category room eg move from a veranda to a suite. You lose all your original booking benefits and get the benefits at the time you ask to upgrade.
  22. You can pay as you go for any drink. But whilst you can pay the difference price to upgrade any package, in terms of individual drinks you have to pay the full price. It’s about $9 for a Hendricks, no Botanist onboard last time I sailed There is included sparkling water, it’s typically either a very low cost brand or water carbonated onboard. Both are inconsistent in terms of how “flat” they are to taste. We found it hard to tolerate what Onward produced it had had a bubbles bypass, it was far better on Journey. I know that will all be down to personal taste so it’s a try it and see on that one.
  23. Two tops are very easy to get. It’s the larger sizes that can be tricky
