If you’re booking in the UK or Ireland it’s included in the fare.

That’s been our experience, too, and when I asked at checkin if they wanted ours, they said no.

I’ve never had to upgrade the browse package to upload photos when posting here. But there can be times when it’s challenging. I also recommend that you type up what you want to post, then copy and paste it here. It’s a pain if you’ve written a post only to find that it hasn’t submitted.

I’m beginning to wonder if there’s something being lost in translation and that they mean you have the choice of early or late dining. 🤔

The ‘loyalty’ Voyagers Club is a joke, at this stage. Points thrown around like confetti (I remember a time when they were hard won and it was a slow climb to the top level). Plus the status match programme, giving status to others who’ve never sailed on MSC before. Yet they won’t recognise anyone who does have status with them when it comes to their new baby Explora Journeys.

Seems that only applied to short sailings. Looks like MSC is going to try it out for certain longer itineraries.

We’ll stay in Fort Lauderdale before our Seascape cruise (hate Miami!). We’re staying in the Las Olas area. Never been before so have no idea where it is in relation to anything. Still, I’ll be interested in reading about your Lyft/Uber arrangement to POM as that’s what we’re hoping to do, too.

MSC doesn’t weigh your cases so there’s no need to be concerned about it.

We had a Mauricio as a sommelier in YC on our 28 night Dubai to Japan cruise a few years back. I wonder if it’s the same guy. He was wonderful - took really good care of my wine preferences and always had a glass of champagne poured for me on my arrival to the restaurant. I hope it’s him and that he’s still there in May.

Yeah. We booked an inside for the first time for an upcoming cruise, but I couldn’t live with it so have upgraded to a balcony. That’s the minimum we’ve always had (apart from the new Infinity Oceanview on World Europa, but that was an Aurea Experience cabin and a YC Inside which is tolerable due to being able to enjoy the private lounge, restaurant and pool deck).

They say you can make reservations. Unfortunately, with MSC, policies differ from ship to ship - and even sailing to sailing. That’s why you may see YMMV here quite a bit. But, you will get a 2-top. Sorry if I didn’t make it clear. It’s just that there may not be one immediately available at the time you show up. There’s a separate section for Aurea in MDRs that are shared with non-Aurea. The waiters have less tables so service is (supposed to be) better. We’ve certainly experienced some great service when in the Aurea MDR. I know that the YC question wasn’t aimed at me but, as an FYI, we sail YC sometimes.

On Meraviglia. We were onboard for the first sailing after the inaugural (in YC). It was an unmitigated disaster. Most people turned up every night around 8pm and there was utter chaos outside the MDRs. It was abandoned just a few weeks later. That was in 2017.

😁 I brought up the subject, on our October sailing, at the Diamond Event, of a higher tier having not materialised, despite promises over the years. Later that day I received a gift of a model of the ship (Musica) signed by the captain. Was told I was the first one to ever receive a signed one.

No. We actually were given a few extra points on a couple of occasions that we couldn’t account for. Otherwise, his are about right.

The pasta is freshly made onboard every day. Saw it for myself on a Behind the Scenes tour.

They’re sure to facilitate you if you let them know that you want a table for two. But, I have seen passengers sharing tables in My Choice. Some actually choose to dine with others, but you don’t have to.
