  1. yeah, you can chalk that up to a CS rep that is confused. Only an idiot would do that.
  2. As others have pointed out here, that hasn't been affirmed by Oceania. Only what you think it is, unless you've heard something from someone at Oceania stating that is what it's for.
  3. If I had a dollar for every time you threatened to not cruise on Oceania anymore I could probably put a deposit down onboard my next cruise.
  4. Add us to the ones that went all the way to Bordeaux on the Marina. Also Sept of 19. Wonderful cruise.
  5. There's no point, some people already know everything, so it's a waste of keystrokes. Some folks simply have no clue what a good TA can do for you. It's the old, you can lead a horse to water.....
  6. What is the source of this information? I've seen it in a couple of different places like this, but nothing showing it being Advance Pricing vs Onboard pricing.
  7. For me the most important thing I see is that Balvenie and Oban scotch are now both on the bar menu, they were not before, although they were available in Horizons for a cost, (not part of the Prestige Package). If they stick with the old rule that if it's on the bar menu it's covered under the package then the addition of those two single malts alone would make it worth the extra $10 per day to me. I understand that others couldn't care less about single malts, but for me that's a positive improvement. Thanks for posting.
  8. Interesting, somewhere I've seen the breakdown as to who gets what. I never noticed a cut for management like some seem to think there is.
  9. We all have our likes and dislikes. She’s either one or the other with most people. She’s definitely enamored with the sound of her voice.
  10. We have a saying for things like this. It ends with "and tells me it's raining. "
  11. I appreciate that. Unfortunately that's not the problem I have, it's not that they have all disappeared, it's that the specific Celebrity offer has disappeared.
  12. Here is something to watch out for. The offer was on my account yesterday. I actually saw it before I saw this thread. I didn't add it to my card at the time as I was thinking about how to take advantage of it. Today it has disappeared from my offers. I double checked to see if it happened to be on my card. Nope. I've seen this happen before, and sometimes they come back. Hopefully this one will. The lesson to be learned here is if you see it and think you might use it, go ahead and add it to your card. Then it should be there.
  13. We had this happen on the Regatta in a PH about 12 years ago, it was actually our second Oceania cruise. First time was when we were having dinner served in the room. That kind of ruined the dinner. I called Guest Relations and they told me they would send Carlos ?, the Concierge. I asked, "Is Carlos a plumber? He's welcome to come but he better have a plumber with him. " Happened two or three times but they eventually got it straightened out.
  14. Since they both have the same name it's easy to confuse them. Not sure on closing, but they usually open around 10, unless it's raining, then they may not open at all.
  15. One of the posts I saw on FB where they had a shot of Currents did show it at $69.95 a day.
  16. Yep, I just looked up a 12 night in Feb and the OBC is $600, so it's a $360 discount off the cost of it. The odd thing they now list the cost of the House Select at $29.95, and the Prestige at $59.95, which still is a $30 difference, but would make the Prestige more attractive if you were going to just straight up buy it without going through the House with Olife. They seem to be all over the place right now with pricing that I have seen on this while they are changing. I think the bottom line is is that they are going to make it a $30 per day upgrade, no matter what the prices shake out to be.
  17. I never noticed you being a big drinker Lyn.😄
  18. Well, I'm sure that might have been your experience, but in mine it's actually the other way around.
  19. Actually I think gaeltrav answered for Waves Grill. Waves BAR usually stays open till around dark, or at least that has been my experience in the past. I don't have any recent experience on Riviera.
  20. How much is the daily grats? I've got a Blue Chip coming up in March that I'll need to pay the grats for. Thinking about just buying $500 OBC and letting grats come out of that. I got the spend $500 get 17,500 Member points. I've done these multiple times. Recently had a spend $1000 on RCL and get $250 back.
  21. You only really have two options onboard, that would be Terrace or Waves. I'm good with either. A third option is to do what Pinot recommends, that is to spend time in the local port town, eat at a local restaurant, and then board later after the rush. Not a bad idea, some people are excited to get on the ship though. I usually stay at my hotel till checkout time then make my way to the ship. I won't be there at 9:30 -10am like some people have mentioned.
  22. Only problem is that is when we're getting ready for dinner. I'm not going to sacrifice dinner for doing laundry.
  23. Here are the facts, the scheduled 2023 update was cancelled, they haven't announced a new date for when it will be done. But as FF said, the Marina is still in good shape, the updates are more about a cosmetic update and less about being worn out. I personally would have no problem with going on a cruise anytime in the next couple of years on Marina.
