Med sailings MTD for sure. There will be days you do excursions and just want to go to windjammer. Then the waiters are not getting offended thinking they have done something wrong when they haven’t. trust me if you don’t turn up for dinner they get concerned unnecessarily. I agree early on med cruises is rushed but no harm in mtd.

I fully understand what it is. I am saying the price difference doesn’t justify it to me. If I’m not sure I want to go on a cruise I just don’t book I. If I book it then I have every intention of going and take out travel insurance in case something unforeseen crops up.

I foresee the biggest complaint of the cruise still yet to come. The unfortunate event of them having the audacity to make you get off the ship at the end of the cruise 😂🤣😂

Refundable is normally way more than the penalty to change/cancel so for those that end up going they end up paying far more than they could/should have.

Just hope they got rid of the moths. We had a great cruise last year on her with the exception of all the moths flying around the cabin. They spent multiple days trying to work out where they were coming from.

We ordered room service once when we were in a Royal Suite. Room service called us as they didn’t know where our cabin was 🤦🏼‍♀️

If you are not self assist then you will be one of the last to get off. Near on everyone these days picks self assist these days.

I am confused. In 2 you say no blue cheese dressing but 6 up you say there is blue cheese dressing. Did you ask for blue cheese dressing as if it exists I’m sure they would have provided for you.

We were supposed to do Southern Caribbean on Explorer. Due to tropical storm we ended up in Jamaica. Got nothing, and we really didn’t care about going to Jamaica. As they say ship happens. They can and will change itineraries as needed without any compensation.

They were not there the other week. They had some mini bite size snacks on a platter and that was it in the waiting area.

Exactly they don’t compare. Yet I do compare my cruises and experiences on an unbiased basis. And MSC YC beat our star class on Royal (at a fraction of the cost) by a hands down mile. yes you didn’t like standard MSC and neither would we which is why we don’t book it, not even suites outside YC. What you are missing is YC is far superior to the experience elsewhere on the ship and YC even beats some of its more mainstream competitors when it comes to sailing in suite class cabins. In fact multiple people we spoke to in YC the other week all said that it was even better than Haven on NCL.

Depends on their interests as Meraviglia has a lot of options for teens. It has a great outdoor course (not sure the exact name) plus indoor sports court. Seascape is good but doesn’t have the indoor sports court. Either would be fine. Out dd did her first MSC at 18 and loved it.

The other issue you have to contend with is time zones. Some ships do not change the ships time when moving time zones Aruba is one hour ahead of EST so if the the ship does not change time then 8am arrival ship time is already 9am local time.

If you don’t get reply go straight to coastal kitchen when you board. The CK side can make all dining bookings for you for the week including for CK. I would recommend having a plan on times if you intend to use CK as they can fill up at popular times.

Try looking at turquoise beach there are several options not sure if they have swim up bar but seen good reviews

True unfortunately dd has ocd so that doesn’t help. Plus my back issues and arthritis make it hard for me to do it. Unfortunately I feel like I’m falling apart at the seams!

If you opt for am make up when do you get your towel animals. ??? Do they sit there all day?

Really the people that need 2x a day are those with guests / kids sleeping on sofa bed. Otherwise sofa has to be kept as a bed the whole cruise.

Dinner makes most sense as out of cabin for long enough to clean. Full disclaimer we stay suites so still get 2 services. If dd staying with us on sofa bed it’s an inconvenience if guest sleeping on sofa bed as one service basically eradicates the use of the sofa in the daytime if only one service.

The biggest thing we noticed on our last trip was how aggressive the vendors were. My dd is pretty polite but in the end even she snapped and told them that if they didn’t back off she wouldn’t buy anything. One vendor then let her look at her leisure but she hated them trying to literally drag her into their “store” spaces.

I have never encountered restrictions on which restaurants you can use boho at.

18 can gamble on a ship as well as some casinos in US. (Oklahoma is 18 for slots) Florida Is 18 for Poker.

Because my husband and dd love seafood. So I am happy to make one sacrifice and go with the turf and turf. It’s not like there is nothing on the menu I can eat.
