No idea on their technology. regarding slots it has always selected the same arrival time by default for other guests in the cabin so I do not know if it counts as 1 per cabin or 1 per person. in retreat they reached out to us to ask us our arrival time as well ( not sure if that is standard or upper suite only communication) what I do know is we booked first available time slot and there was hardly anyone in the queue outside waiting for them to open the doors.
  2. We look at each cruise, look at itinerary, literally sat there the other night discussing the restaurants, and made a list for each day. You can look at menus in the app for specialty restaurants and some of the mdr menus are already showing for our sailing. we do our list as day number, whether it is a port or sea day any excursions, then restaurants we want to eat at that day and the time we want to eat. It fun. Yes we might tweak it a little closer to the time, but it helps us decide if we want any specialty dining packages, especially on longer sailings. love cruising, nice to get away every few weeks. I think if we stuck to same ship/same line might be a little more cruised out, but since restart doing a lot more variety of both ships and lines to keep it fresh.
  3. It was excellent last month when we were on. The best internet we have had in 30+ years of cruising.
  4. Find me a cruise line that hasn’t gone up. I just quoted a guest a 4 person standard balcony on Adventure RC for a 5 night sailing at $13,500 i can get retreat class for less than that!!,
  5. When I did Europe on X is was predominantly US, Canadians and Brits. Europeans (Spanish and Italian speakers) predominantly do Costa or MSC
  6. We did deck 12 albeit a suite and was wonderfully quiet.
  7. Follow the green palm signs and takes you right to the parking by the terminal. when you cross the road just follow the building all the way down the end to the left to the entrance to check in.
  8. Not in the slightest you go to a different section in the terminal that is only for suites.
  9. If you go in the app you will see exactly what cocktails are made at what bars with what ingredients. Never had any ingredient substituted they have always said if they don’t have an ingredient they can’t make it.
  10. Never saw any of that on my x cruise last month. Got what I requested every time.
  11. We just did X and found their food to be night and day far superior to Royal. already planing ours meals for next year on X as unfortunately can’t fit any more cruises in this year.
  12. I have found several windjammers to be sub par post Covid compared to pre Covid. That said always found something I could compromise with. I would call it high school cafeteria bad though.
  13. 3 sea days in a row sounds like heaven to me! sleep in - get up for lunch (might catch brunch if I’m lucky) go play poker / slot tournament/ blackjack tournament visit thermal spa have a siesta get up for dinner heck the day is almost gone 🤣😂🤣 I just look forward to the days of doing a transatlantic with 3 days of relaxation and nothing!
  14. The last time we were in Miami they didn’t set the lines up until long after the queues started forming and had been set up with signage.it was disorganized chaos at best. No one had any idea where to go. and yes we were in a suite and there were lots of people in our line that were not in suites because of the lack of signage.
  15. Agreed, not every category is held in group rate. Although I’m surprised if the TA had a group (as they offered ocean view) why they couldn’t book the balcony and move into the group. (Albeit at prevailing rate)
  16. The OP stated they wanted a balcony and the TA only had ocean view left at group rate. It is likely the TA already sold all the cabins they had for Balconies at Group Rate.
  17. They can book what they want with TA just not under group rate.
  18. If you want a balcony book it now under nrd. Prices will likely only increase and if they do drop the TA can get a price match.
  19. The issue is they want group rate with refundable. The cabin they want may already be sold out in group space.

  21. We love Indian food so that’s a plus for us. Some of the other items like the Vidalia tart are old options so no change there.
  22. That’s why I love the new MSC elevators. You press the button in the lobby for the floor you want. It then directs you to elevator A B C or D no one can press buttons once inside and never a long queue either. just saying ! Perhaps time to adopt a similar system on RC.
  23. I didn’t get the memo and have not completed. Does that mean the ship is still in port awaiting me to complete before they can set sail 🤣😂🤣
