  1. In addition to what Hank writes, always make your price before entering a cab. From Zona Romantica back expect to pay more or less Pesos 150,- , from the northern part of Malecon around Pesos 100,-- That is per ride for max 4 persons. Yes they will ask for more in general as they know you are tourists, and the closer to the Malecon the higher the price. 100 Pesos is about US$ 6.- Uber will also work from the city to the cruise terminal, the other way around only from outside the terminal. From the cruise terminal to town you can take a federal cab, as offered at the ermnal for about US$ 5,- per person, if you walk outside towards the busy road the rfegular cab will charge as mentioned above. If you take a cab note his sitio number and cab number - or make a photo of it - (on the outside at the cab), in case you forgot something. Daily I read reports from people forgetting or loosing their phone in a cab. Enjoy Vallarta!
  2. The best and easiest probably is the shuttle your cruiseline might offer. Public transport is a bit complicated, cabs will be very expensive. All information on this website for public transport in this website. Put in from/to etc. https://9292.nl/en
  3. A few years ago we took one of the buses offering a returnticket to Olympia outside the pier. We had plenty of time to see the museum and the "ruins", even had time for a lunch in the village. I think we paid E. 15.- per person for the return. Worth it!
  4. Better take a local bus with the sign centro and get off near Hotel Rosita at the beginning of the Malecon. Of course a cab is always good too. Yes it is walkable but only if you are a good walker and be aware of the heat. The walk will be along a busy road.
  5. Indeed I forgot to mention Zaanse Schans. You can take the bus as mentioned but also very easy might be the train to station Zaanse Schans, it is just a 20 minute ride. I think it is the nicest way to walk (about 10 minutes) from the station to Zaanse Schans a you will see the windmills situated along river Zaan. Trainschedule: https://www.ns.nl/en More about Zaanse Schans: https://www.dezaanseschans.nl/en/ Entrance is free, you only pay a fee if you want to enter a windmill.
  6. In case your kids are interested, visit Artis Zoo. https://www.artis.nl/en/ Also a canal boat trip is of course also nice. Some tours leave in front of Centraal Station, walking distance from the cruise terminal. https://www.lovers.nl/en/ Nemo science museum, also not far from the cruise terminal. https://www.nemosciencemuseum.nl/en/ A simple ride on one of the tram (streetcars) is always nice for kids. https://www.gvb.nl/en Dutch pancakes while sailing in this ship: https://amsterdam.pannenkoekenboot.nl/en/ Madame Tussaud museum has interesting wax famous persons: https://www.madametussauds.com/amsterdam/en/ If open the royal Palace on Dam square (almost a neighbour to madame Tussaud!). https://www.paleisamsterdam.nl/en/ So plenty to choose from. Enjpy!
  7. At 10 am local time. https://www.annefrank.org/en/museum/tickets/
  8. Indeed train is the best, but again check the schedues before traveling to see if there are repairs going on.
  9. Indeed in general train is the fastest, if you take one of the fasttrains -sneltrein -(with a small surcharge). schedules on https://www.ns.nl/en However please check your date as in summer often repairs take place and that might take extra time or diversions.
  10. As far as I know the ship docks in an industrial area, so you might need to take a shuttle into town and find a cab there. That is what we did a few years ago.
  11. I am not familiar with Cuban rum, but have a look in one of the La Playa stores in Puerto Vallarta.
  12. There is a stop in Flam according the schedule in top, so yes they sail into and from a fjord.
  13. This site might help you. Plenty of beaches in and around Ravenna. https://beachsearcher.com/en/italy/emilia-romagna/ravenna#:~:text=The average distance from the,are relatively easy to access.
  14. Victoria Plaza is opposite Centraal Station. Probably train is good option too. I have never seen a cab with car seats.
  15. Hyatt Ziva in Puerto Vallarta. You need a taxi to get there.
  16. In case you are on Facebook, check the site Vallarta Volunteers. Apart from that you can get in touch with: https://spcapvr.com/ https://yvonnekafoundation.org/ https://visit-vallarta.com/volunteer-on-vacation/ https://www.mydeztination.com/new-blog/waystovolunteerpv
  17. Yes you will find machines to buy tickets. Choosing english as language is possible as is paying by creditcard. More on the website of ns. nl https://www.ns.nl/producten/en/losse-kaartjes-toeslagen I am not sure of the window for tickets is still open, but it will be easy to get tickets. Know that you have to checkin at the gate before getting on the platform.
  18. Kusadasi. Touroperators at the dock will offer tours to Ephesus.
  19. At the tender dock you will find boats offering transportation to Oia. They sail after their boat is filled, so sometimes it takes some time. It is one way only. So either walk back to Fira, get a local bus or cab. Going back to the ship is only the cable car (often long lines so be there in time!) or walk down the donkey trail (can be slippery and not smelling nice).
  20. Another populair ons is Blue boats. https://www.blueboat.nl/en/
  21. Most workers in tourisme, bars and restaurants hardly have a salary and depend on tips. So yes please tip. (propinas)
  22. Please note Buses to Centro with the extra sign "Tunel" do not go via the hotelzone or Malecon and enter old town through Venustiano Carranza. Not too far from Playa Los Muertos. On the return be aware there are 2 Walmart! One near the cruise terminal the other near Pitillal. So check you go to the right one.
  23. Indeed Nafplion is reached by tender. The dock is in the city. On this website you will see plenty of options. Loved the place, clean and friendly people. https://nafpliocitytour.gr/
