A few years ago we took one of the buses offering a returnticket to Olympia outside the pier. We had plenty of time to see the museum and the "ruins", even had time for a lunch in the village. I think we paid E. 15.- per person for the return. Worth it!

Better take a local bus with the sign centro and get off near Hotel Rosita at the beginning of the Malecon. Of course a cab is always good too. Yes it is walkable but only if you are a good walker and be aware of the heat. The walk will be along a busy road.

Indeed I forgot to mention Zaanse Schans. You can take the bus as mentioned but also very easy might be the train to station Zaanse Schans, it is just a 20 minute ride. I think it is the nicest way to walk (about 10 minutes) from the station to Zaanse Schans a you will see the windmills situated along river Zaan. Indeed train is the best, but again check the schedues before traveling to see if there are repairs going on.

As far as I know the ship docks in an industrial area, so you might need to take a shuttle into town and find a cab there. That is what we did a few years ago.

I am not familiar with Cuban rum, but have a look in one of the La Playa stores in Puerto Vallarta.

Know that you have to checkin at the gate before getting on the platform.

At the tender dock you will find boats offering transportation to Oia. They sail after their boat is filled, so sometimes it takes some time. It is one way only. So either walk back to Fira, get a local bus or cab. Going back to the ship is only the cable car (often long lines so be there in time!) or walk down the donkey trail (can be slippery and not smelling nice).

Please note Buses to Centro with the extra sign "Tunel" do not go via the hotelzone or Malecon and enter old town through Venustiano Carranza. Not too far from Playa Los Muertos.
