Just got off the Solstice last week, had an email offer on my phone for a comped veranda cabin, they also hand delivered to my stateroom during the cruise...the same offer, and when i went to book a cruise, magically i didn't qualify. And yes i spent quite a bit in the casino that trip. Only offered me a 20% discount. I chose not to bother at that point. As soon as i got home....another email offer???? I have no words Cheers
  2. Just got off the Solstice last week,and was NEVER approached by anyone to buy a drink package, or upgrade. Same for dining packages. No annoying photographers....nothing. just my recent experience cheers

  4. just got off the Solstice: all aluminum cans, and Aqua Panna glass for premium They are still putting the large Evian bottled water in the room hoping you drink it!
  5. We had booked connecting sunset veranda cabins, we were traveling with my daughter, her husband, and our 4 year old granddaughter. Due to my granddaughters age we ate at the buffet for a couple of dinners and all breakfasts. We did Tuscan for dinner twice....excellent both nights. The staff were especially attentive to my granddaughter, calling her by name whenever seen elsewhere on the ship.It made her feel special. We also did a lunch at Tuscan, a bit pricey,, but excellent, on the next to the last day of the cruise. On the last day we did Murano for lunch....again, excellent all the way around. the staff accommodated the little one, constantly, bringing her whatever she asked for. they even sang happy birthday in Tuscan, after telling them she was playing a joke, and it really wasn't her birthday.The only complaint i saw and sometimes had was it was very crowded at the buffet, and being a completely sold out cruise it made sense, it was challenging to find a table for 5 at times. It was also a surprise that they were equally as good in the main dining room, as it had been many years since eating there, as we normally book AQ.
  6. I hear a lot of whining here. I just finished an amazing Alaskan cruise, out of Seattle, and was blown away with the service, food quality, quantity, all of it. Even though the Solstice is old and in need of a refresh, it was great, I sat here pre cruise listening to all the complaints, and almost cancelled .Glad we did not. I only had 2 complaints; first the wine selection in the packages is horrid. Bring your own ! Second; didn't make any money in the casino!! to everyone reading this: just enjoy, life is short, I did. Cheers
  7. DEFINITELY print out your luggage tags!!!! Just returned from the Solistice and met 2 families who never received their luggage. the porters put them on the wrong ship in Seattle , with hand written tags! It is rare but it does happen, and these people had young children, not fun.

  9. you will have no problem what so ever!! Just returned from our cruise on the Solstice. Disembarked at 7:15, ( yes we got lucky), we were actually at the end of the line for walk off.There were 5 of us, one in a stroller. Immigration was a breeze, and there were an overabundance of transfer choices. Many drivers practically begging for customers. We had a car pick us up, paid $20 per person. The airport was no problem as well. We had Pre check and were at our gate at 8:45am for an 11:18 flight .

  16. Thanks for your honest replies. I believe we will roll the dice on this one, walking off with our luggage, booking shuttle with Seattle express.. We have Global entry, and also flying Delta Priority. Being in the transportation industry myself, I am no stranger to traffic issues, as we have have them constantly here in the Boston area. No stress here. Plan B, if no other flights available, grab a hotel for a night or 2.
  17. Having never flown out of Seattle, will an 11:18 flight on a Friday morning cut it too close ? Cruise ends 8/4 on the Solstice. Thanks in advance for any insight

  19. the reps told me it was meant for new bookings only, booked this week. It was broadcast to anyone with cruises sailing after June 5th for some reason. They even denied I could see the pricing myself?? Oh well, life goes on.
  20. The original intent of the sale was to only apply to sailings BOOKED 5/24/23 - 5/30/23, sailing 6/5/23 through 5/27/24. That said, some of us were able to see the sale prices in our cruise planner and took advantage of it. it worked for me on excursions and dining. I could not do the beverage package online, and like most of us who called, got turned down by Celebrity, and i did talk to a supervisor. They explained my cruise didn't qualify, as it was booked last year, but sailing in 2 months. As typical when these errors occur, some jump early, and others don't., but they always correct the issue at some point.
  21. Agreed, I was in the same situation, taking my daughter and her family to Alaska in July.. My wife was initially pissed i had cancelled, and couldn't re book immediately, after the others had already rebooked successfully. I got lucky. .
  22. Yes it gets a little tricky at times. We are traveling with family, and we decided as a group to roll the dice and cancel our excursions and rebook at the lower price. My daughters family had no issues, but when I went to rebook i had difficulty finding my last excursion, and when i did, it showed sold out. I waited for a few minutes, and luckily was finally able to book it. Needless to say it was a bit stressful not being able to book it right away.
