  1. I realize I was not the one asked but we did a lot of New Zealand excursions through Viator when we were on Celebrity Australia/New Zealand in January of this year. It was an amazing trip! I agree with your comment about the coffee! We discovered on our last Princess cruise if we did 1/3 coffee, 1/3 milk, 1/3 water and then added about 4 little flavored creamers the coffee was sort of ok 🙂 Worst coffee at sea! BUT if you paid for a latte it was great!
  2. We travel with this kitty: Amazon.com : Cat Lamp,GoLine Cute Kitty Night Light, Gifts for Women Teen Girls Baby, Night Lights for Kids Bedroom, Cute Christmas Kitty Silicone Nightlights for Children Toddler. : Baby He's got multiple colors and we just leave him on in the bathroom all night. He's squishy so he doesn't take up much suitcase space and he recharges via USB. He's enough light so we can use the bathroom but doesn't mess with our night vision like the full light does.
  3. We did Celebrity this January, starting in Sydney and ending in Auckland. It did have one stop in Melbourne, but all the other ports were New Zealand. We did talk to some folks on one tour who were on the Spirit. We chose Celebrity because it was cheaper than NCL and we thought a better itinerary since it wasn't RT Sydney. We prefer NCL over the other lines we've cruised (except maybe the Oasis class RCL ships). We did Princess for the British Isles last summer because a similar NCL itinerary was crazy priced. Like you guys, I don't get their pricing.
  4. We couldn't get our travel router to work on Eclipse in Dec/Jan this year. I've never had a problem with it on NCL. I wondered if our router was too old. Anyway, thanks for the tip about the Pixel 7! We got our son one for Christmas, it would have been great to have used it on this last cruise.
  5. We did a Princess excursion to Mont St Michel in July 2022. For us it was absolutely worth it! There was a stop at a convenience store both directions for a potty break. Mont St Michel was extremely busy and it was so hot the day we were there, but hands down a highlight of our trip. Such an incredible place!
  6. I didn't post the comment about soda/water being included. I'm just as confused as everyone else. All I see in my planner is alcoholic options. The kids package, soda package, and non-alcoholic package are all gone. There is no Zero proof option. Maybe they are still updating the site. The previous poster said when they called they were told soda, water, and coffee were included. Not sure why Celebrity would do that.
  7. No idea. Would be awesome if it did though
  8. Hmm. I wonder when that starts. We board in 2 weeks and I paid for the soda package for my husband. I see that option is no longer available. Do I cancel it?
  9. This happened to me last week. I gave it a couple of days and no change. What I found that works is I log into my account then click "Cruise Planner"all the way on the bottom of the main page (the small font links at the bottom), and then click "Sign In" and it takes me to the planner. Not sure why the process changed. Hope this works for you
  10. This. I also purchased the $9.99 upgrade voucher but I saw the "per person, per day" business too. I also see it lets me put multiple in my cart. I purchased the basic 2-device plan because I don't have all-included. This is our first Celebrity cruise so I don't know how any of this works. Does the voucher upgrade both of my devices? Will they be jerks and say I have to pay $15 per day for the rest of the cruise onboard? I would pay the $9.99 per day now if that's what it takes to have them just upgrade me for the whole cruise. BUT it does say "full sailing" and "package" so it's so confusing!
  11. Sorry, the link I found was to get into my Cruise Planner since it wasn't working before. That's what my post was about. I just had the sale in my planner, didn't have to do anything special. Though the excursion "sales" are still more expensive than I paid for them. I have the 2 device Basic internet plan (I don't have AI), so when I upgrade to Premium does it do both devices? I went ahead and got the $9.99 "package" and printed the screen.
  12. Sorry to bump this thread up but has anyone done this recently? We're trying to decide if we should get the soda package or not. Can we each bring on a 12 pack or is it 1 per stateroom? I'm having a hard time finding the "official" policy. I apologize if I'm just missing it 🙂
  13. Using Firefox right now and still no go. Cruise is in 44 days and the planner worked yesterday
  14. Down for me too. Says "Gone sailing, be back soon" when I try to get into my booking.
  15. Yes you should both get the credit, assuming the offer is added to both cards. We double dip all the time. We have the same account (get one bill), but different card numbers and logins. We both got the credits with the previous offer for a cruise that we're going on next week.
  16. Can someone tell me how I prepay tips please? This is our first cruise with Celebrity and I can't find it online anywhere. Thanks!
  17. I did this last week - it took about a day for the online transfer page to recognize my reservation. After I filled out the online form it was only a couple of hours before I got a confirmation email it had been done. Good luck!
  18. We just got back from a 12-night British Isles on Princess. We LOVED all the ports but came to the conclusion we are more NCL people. I think part of it might have been because we sailed out of Southampton the food was all very "British". We all got sick of it after a couple of days. We did not really enjoy any of the food on the ship, especially the buffet. It was really surprising how bland everything was (husband was eating sausage one morning and made the comment that he had never eaten sausage with zero flavor before). I realize food is very subjective, but this was our 12th or 13th cruise and we were surprised how little we enjoyed it. We also spoke to a couple on the tender one day who felt the same way. I can't really speak to the activities or shows. We went to Deal or No Deal once and BINGO twice. We didn't go to any shows because there weren't really any that interested us and we were trying to minimize the COVID risks. I heard the pianist in the Piazza on 3 occasions and every time he played the same song - Captain of Her Heart. Bleck. We had a mini-suite because there were 3 of us and balcony rooms don't have sofa beds (we were on Emerald). Room was great, balcony was great, and all the staff were great. I would book Princess again if the itinerary and price was right. We did, however, cancel our Australia/New Zealand cruise for Jan 2023 on Princess and moved over to Celebrity. Price and itinerary were the about same and we needed a change. We've never sailed Celebrity, so fingers crossed. Good luck with your decision!
  19. We're on the same cruise and so glad someone is doing a live report. My 15 year old son wants to work on his writing this summer and has said he will do a trip report as well. I told him I would post it on here afterwards if it works out. We'll see if he follows through. I will be watching yours!
  20. This just happened to us... or I should say I just *noticed* it happened to us. We're on Majestic in January to New Zealand. I had D410 booked which is mid-ship and an extended angled balcony. I was pretty excited about it. I logged in yesterday and saw we were in C743. What the what?!? I checked my reservation and confirmed the "no upgrade". I didn't get an email from Princess or my TA. My original room is gone. I was able to move the room to B739 since Caribe aft facing balconies aren't covered at all. I can't decide if I want to stay back there or move to a side room. There are a lot of "cruising" days on this itinerary.
