They focussed on a Rolex store they thought that would make it a luxe cruise line laughable i booked a residence and I’m cancelling a beautiful large suite without more is a waste of money silver ray and silver nova are also gorgeous and silversea knows luxury.

Doesn’t sound like they will ever be ready. They don’t understand the luxury cruise market.

This all sounds pretty awful to me. cancelling. I am not their target customer

They have alienated a whole lot of affluent luxury cruisers who routinely book long itineraries. You would think they would want to attract those of us who cruise regent crystal silversea and seabourn for 3 weeks at a time. 7 day cruisers are dealbreaker for me and most of my cruise friends

Istanbul Athens area Here is the turnoff for us. The demographic on 7 days cruises is far different from the demographic on longer cruises. More kids. Often more partying. I am sure most of you have experienced it. We rarely book anything with fewer than 21 days. The Explora cruise we booked was 14 days. I do not think this line is for us.

Just got Explora 1 itineraries from my TA totally different my feb 2025 cruise is gone

I’m keeping an open mind. my cruise is being changed so I can get full refund but I am not inclined to do so. Life is an adventure. I doubt I’ll suffer on board

Spoke to my ta deal is full refund or 30% discount based on your current booking if you book comparable replacement my ta advises that management thinks some itineraries too long. There will be more 7 day cruises with options to book b2b explora1 revised itineraries out today or tomorrow

You are not correct. You can’t double dip on 2 chase cards. Eg a United card and a sapphire card But when you each have a reserve card you are covered 10k for you and 10k for your travel partner. When each person of a couple has his own account you have 40 k coverage

We do our insurance with our 2 Sapphire Reserve cards. Gives us 40K total cancellation at no charge and triple points. We only buy supplemental annual health insurance policy. Although our cruises often exceed the 40K coverage, we are willing to "gamble" on not insuring the entire trip.

My Seabourn Encore cruise in March was fabulous -- and up to that time I liked Seabourn but did not love it. Now I love it. I saw major improvements in the food, service and entertainment (not that it was bad before). Just booked another Seabourn cruise.

I have sailed both Ss and Seabourn and like both for different reasons. I see no difference in the clientele.

I don't think it matters It is going to be what to wear on all the non expedition ships.

I would not expect you to be confused about your upcoming cruise. They sent you an email with the precise dress code. They does not usually happen. In general, when you book a SS cruise you do not get an email with the dress code. You are expected to read the website or go to some other source and figure out what is appropriate. I think it is foolish to make a dress code ship-specific. Going forward they are going to have set a single dress code for all the non expedition ships. I am confident it will be the one just announced for Nova. I just spoke to 2 Hotel Directors who expressed frustration that corporate did not listen to them about their inability to enforce the dress code. They bot wanted it changed to what is being proposed for Nova. I think this change has been considered for a long time.

I’m a betting woman. The same dress code will apply to all of the non expedition ships.
