No issue on this cruise. La dame has been empty. crystal had a good system. No charge for 1 st reservation in each of the 2 specialty restaurants on. 7 day cruise ( longer cruise you might get 2 complimentary) Small charge ($30?) for additional reservation. Those in top suites had unlimited reservations on space available basis folks with status (many cruises) never paid for additional reservations they had one Italian restaurant comparable to la terraza and of course nobu. We were not that fond of nobu but we were in the minority.

Every cruise is different. This cruise is waaay different from my first two cruises on the Moon. Wear what you want. The others really do not matter

I’ve had opposite experience. Butlers on regent ss and Oceania professionally trained and excellent Butlers on crystal just got promoted from stateroom attendant

I agree in this second leg it seems a little better in terms of compliance but there is no enforcement its amazing how the demographic on board can change from one keg to the next

There are many cruise lines that promote butlers through the ranks. They do not have the formal training. Crystal did that. Butlers were glorified stateroom attendants i always ask my butler about his training. Many have been to butler schools, some have worked as butlers in luxury hotels, some get trained by the cruise line.

I have seen small dogs on ships before. The claim of service dog is impossible to disprove. In the us eg there is no certification process. Put a coat on the dog that says service dog and it’s a service dog

I am on silver moon now la dame is empty there is outrage at this price increase on the ss boards I do not think this increase will cause ss regulars to look elsewhere. It will just cause them not to book la dame

I see how many of you are passionate about this subject. Imo most ss cruisers really don’t care that much about the 2 extra cost restaurants. There are plenty of other dining options. I doubt the huge price increase will deter folks from booking ss I agree it might deter a lot of folks from booking those restaurants
