  1. Just logged into mine and everything is OK. I have noted that it does seem to be tempramental!
  2. Morning everyone, A rather dull and dreary day as we had rain overnight. We certainly need it. We have a flat roof outside our bedroom window and one of the baby seagulls is now on it, so not sure if we'll be allowed in the garden, or if we will be dive bombed by the parents while it's there.
  3. On Azura last May it would not work in the cabin, it would only work in the larger public areas of the ship. On Arvia this May it kept crashing and had several glitches. I was not the only one to experience this on Arvia either, lots of people were complaining! I'm on Britannia in September so will see what happens then.
  4. Be aware that the roadworks around Carland Cross and Chiverton Cross are causing chaos, and long delays!😡
  5. I didn't have any thing planned for today, just taking it easy as I still tired after my treatment last week, but my daughter suggested that I might like to go into Penzance with her for Mazey Day. As I am not allowed to drive at present we went in by train, and walked up to the top of the town where we positioned ourselves to watch one of the parades. My second daughter was leading her school in the parade and was surprised to see us. After the parade we met up and had something to eat and ended up in the local spoons before heading back on the train. I think I might have over done it, especially in the early afternoo heat, but we had a good day.
  6. Glad to read that you had a lovely time, and enjoyed looking at the photos.
  7. I have cruised on Azura several times and have never noticed the smell on any of them.
  8. When we were on Arvia in May we didn't get a final bill in our 'postbox' on the last morning, so I went to reception and asked for one.
  9. I like the look of that, I'll see if they have it on Britannia.
  10. I didn't take an outfit for each evening, but doubled up on several evenings. I took several dresses, but some of them didn't even get worn.
  11. I was given a prescription for steriods to take in conjuction with my radiation treatment. I was told that I would be given extra than the prescribed dose in case symptoms lasted longer than expected, so I had them in the house if I needed them. My course of tablets was for me to take just 12, but my prescription was for 150😲
  12. Morning everyone, Not been around much as have been recovering from last week's treatment, which addled my brian! I was OK the first couple of days before beginning to suffer, but am now on the way back up although I still feel very tired and have one or two other niggles, but nothing major. We had all our big birthdays last year, an 80th, 40th, 90th and my 65th. We were forecast to have rain from last night right through to this afternoon. It rained last night, but not enough, it's not raining now and doesn't look like it's going to rain soon either. Hope everyone has a good day. Pam
  13. Many thanks. Mum has a manual wheelchair, so I am pusher! Will digest this in detail later. (As I'm recovering from stereotactic radiation treatment myself at present my brain has been addled!)
  14. On our 7 night Britannia cruise in September we have 2 listed, a Celebration Night and a Formal Night.
  15. Farthshumpen in Norwegian is a sleeping policeman or you could sail on this ship!
  16. Sorry to hear that you have lost your close friend and neighbour after all these years. I am sure you have many happy memories of her.
  17. Last time we had a return flights (Azura and Britannia) we were able to leave hand luggage in the theatre. Staff were at the door and issued everyone with number for when they collected their luggage. I would think that they would have a similar system on Arvia.
  18. I didn't drive until we moved down here, so passed my driving test in 1988 and my first car was a Mini Metro. My first long drive was up to my parent's who were then living in Northwood, and I remember driving up the motorways in torrential rain!
  19. There was pole dancing in the atrium on Arvia last month!
  20. No, we are not travelling until the middle of September, so plenty of time to sort thing out. Many thanks, Pam
  21. Just looked at this with interest as we are due to call at Haugesund and Mum is in a wheelchair. So I know what to expect!
  22. A pleasant 18c down here and sunny again, we have had quite a lot of mist recently. Had another sleepless night with sea gulls squawking all night followed the dawn chorus.
  23. We had no problem when we disembarked from Arvia last month. There were plenty of taxis and no queue, but I suppose it depends on the timings!
  24. I didn't get to try The Olive Grove on Iona but did on Arvia. My mains was the tuna and I also had tiramisu for desert, but your tiramusu looks a lot better than mine.
