  1. Welcome to the forum. I sailed on Ocean Village back in the day too. Yes, food is available nearly 24 hours a day. The exact times will be available in The Horizon newspaper each day. Various excursions, with details and pricings will be available to view under Shore Experiences when you log in to My P&O.
  2. I board Arvia on Sunday. I'll ask!
  3. Good Morning to you all. Although it is a lot colder than of late at c, not sure what our weather is going to do today😕 Forecast is for rain all day, but sun was shining when I got up, we've had rain and the sun is out again. So I'm guessing we are in for a day of showers. Didn't get currency yesterday as planned as the exchange bureau was shut dispite saying they would be open, so will phone to check before going again today. Hope everyone has a good day.
  4. My mother has a allergy to cheese (and any product related to rennet) and she has always been well catered for.
  5. We are on this cruise too and it'llbe our first cruise on a religious holiday.
  6. Morning everyone, A lovely sunny day down here, after an afternoon of heavy rain yesterday. I ended up going out in the rain as the optician rang to say my glasses were ready to collect. Today I'm taking Mum to collect some currency and then we're going somewhere for lunch. Then I really need to think about packing, as before I know it the weekend will be here and I won't be ready! Hope everyone has a good day.
  7. Yes, we are due to sail on Arvia on Sunday and the entertainment became available last week to book.
  8. Rain overnight and rain is forecast for all of today. At present it's windy, 10c and looking out of the window it is brightening up and there's blue sky over the coast. So we will see! Nothing planned for today, except the normal chores. Hope everyone has a good day.
  9. Dining is available to book 14 days before your sail date. It will depend on the weather as to swimming outside, I have been to Norway on several occasions when it's been warmer than home and also on the cool side. Iona does have an indoor pool if the weather is not suitable for swimming outside. I recently taken excursions to the Loen Skylift and Flam Railway. I don't use a hairdryer, so sorry can't answer that question.
  10. Bright blue skies down here too, with a bit of a breeze. They are forecasting showers later. Washing out on the line as it's an ideal day for drying. Only a week now til our cruise, so I suppose I should think about packing. We have a boarding time of 15.30 next week so don't know how we will fill the time?
  11. Cheesecake finished and now having some peace and quiet before collecting Mum and the family gather at my daughter's.
  12. It's like that down here too. We had hail showers earlier on. We've just been out to the local garden centre and took shelter until the rain (or should I say tempest!) passed before returning to the car.
  13. Morning to one and all, Yesterday turn out to be a lovely spring day after our rainy start. Not so nice today, it's windy with heavy showers and a lot colder. but according to the forecast it's supposed to by dry. My granddaughter's birthday party this afternoon, so will need to finish off the cheesecake I made yesterday. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
  14. We flew out to join Azura in Tenerife January this year. Flying from Bristol, our flight was with Jet2. We needed to collect our luggage on arrival and take it with us to the coach for the transfer to the port, which is a journey time of about 45mins to an hour, depending on traffic. Cases were unloaded from the coach onto cages, transfered to the ship and delivered to cabins. Check in was a smooth process, through security and then to check-in.
  15. Next week we are travelling up the day before and have a boarding time of 15.30 we will have a lot of hanging around. Hopefully when we arrive on time we will not be kept waiting, like we were last year.
  16. Morning everyone, Our run of sunny days has ended as it's raining. Busy day again today. Firstly a trip up to Tesco, followed by a day of baking for my granddaughter's birthday party tomorrow. @brian1 Have a safe journey home
  17. Hi all, Hope you're all well. Another sunny morning here. Yesterday was a lovely spring day with the temp reaching 14c. Taking a train trip up to Plymouth shopping as need one or two bits for our cruise next week. Hope everyone has a good day.
  18. My prescription for reading glasses has hardly changed in six years, but I needed to change my distance glasses. As I only wear them for driving I went for a cheap pair that react to the light, so they only set me back by just over £100. Pity my son no longer works for Boots as he could have got me a discount.
  19. Had a phone call yesterday, reminding me of my opticians appointment for today and advising me to arrive 10-15 minutes beforehand. Arrived as requested and then sat for nearly half an hour waiting!
  20. Morning all, Sun tryting to get out again here, although it didn't stay out all day yestrday as we had drizzly rain in the afternoon. Having a busy week this week, as have opticians appointment this morning. Hope everyone has a good day.
  21. I too have praise for the NHS staff. From the diagnosis of my first brian turmour and operation was a total of six weeks, and after the re-growth I was treated again quickly. I can't fault the care I received during recovery and after my latest round of treatment, I receive regular phone calls to check everything is OK. My daughter is a nurse and I know what long hours they work and the pressures they are under.
  22. Glad to hear that it is good news, and you can now get on with planning your cruise.
  23. I have just rung P&O to order a wine package. I had made a cup of coffee, sat down, was prepared for a wait and was taken by surpise when the call was answered almost immediately. Wine ordered and paid for in about 6 minutes☺️ I must be having a roll of luck!
  24. I hope you get the all clear. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.🤞
