  1. New Plymouth is a lovely little town. Theres a great walking/cycling track along the waterfront to the Whalebone Bridge, Pukekura Park is delightful, the Len Lye museum is a great photo op, and if you get the chance (and its open) take a trip to Tawhiti Museum (in Hawera, South of New Plymouth), imho the best small museum in NZ, packed full of Maori and settler history. I hooe you enjoy the rest of your time in NZ!

True, they would have wanted your booking! Thanks.

Who did you talk to AJCM? I even have a screen shot of the EBB paragraph from the terms and conditions from the time of my booking (Oct 2018) but my TA has tried and failed to get it reinstated. I'm told it was never in my account to start off with (it was!) and that they won't honour it.

Thanks, would be interested to know. When I booked our next cruise around that same time, we actually had the EBB in our onboard account. About a year later it vanished. Due to the holidays, I'm still not sure whether we're going to get it reinstated, but Bonnie has said it should be honored. We're in NZ so clearly our T&Cs very similar to yours.
  5. Following! I'd really like to know where we are docking too.

    Thanks Bonnie, we will try!

Bonnie I'm wondering if you can help! I asked my travel agent to sort out our b2b OBC for us. I checked today, and it was there, however our EBB that had previously been sitting in our journey planner appeared to have vanished! On attempting to look up EBB on the Az website, I got a page not found. What has happened to it? Penny
  8. Now up to 5 fatalities. Unfortunately these will be people who were rescued from the island, as they are unable to get to those left on the island at this time.
  9. NZ police have just confirmed one fatality, and have said it is likely there will be more, sadly. The Ovation of the Seas will be staying in Tauranga for the time being.

We are on both of those cruises too. When I booked a year ago, we were unable to get a balcony on deck 7, our TA said they were all gone already. (We have 3 of us in a cabin, so that can be limiting). We had to book Veranda Plus on deck 8 to get our preferred mid-ship location. So I presume these sailings will be well subscribed! We were reasonably happy with what we paid too.
  11. Lol thoroughly enjoyed your description of Heathrow, our last trek through there was pretty much exactly as you described! Great review as always Norris, but if you loved Norway, you really should have New Zealand in your sights..... Looking forward to your next review, dont forget to let us know on the Az board that you are underway! Penny

We love the Patio at night. There is usually a special offered each night there, and everything we have eaten there is lovely!
  13. I thoroughly enjoyed this! Hope the weather is just as good next Oct for our Med cruises!
  14. What was the Azamazing evening? Tell us about it as Koper is where these ships meet and have an evening together next year.
