  1. This Charles sounds like a keeper. A butler after my own heart.❤️
  2. @kwokpot Loving your pics and your entire report!! 🤩
  3. All Millennium class ships have the Rendezvous Lounge on Deck 4. But we prefer Cellar Masters on Deck 5 for its even cozier vibe and occasional performances. We enjoyed a strings duo often in this space. We love the Solstice class ships, but we also enjoy the smaller ships. Enjoy your cruise.
  4. Thanks for the evening update. I love the mom perspective on these MiniMe trips. If nothing else maybe the free ice cream will distract GenZ and her new little friends from relocating the not-included-with-Yacht-Club Italian chocolate store on board. Having never been on a ship of Seascape’s population level, I am curious about your and GenZ’s thoughts on the crowds? Also, some reports indicate difficulty navigating the layout of this particular ship. Should we be studying our deck plans?
  5. In my best nice-person voice while smiling ear to ear…. Option A: ”I am so sorry to bother you. May I please ask you for a teensy-weensy small favor? Would you mind lowering the volume on your phone slightly? I suffer terribly from migraine headaches.” Option B: ”Excuse me. I am so sorry to disturb you, but I noticed you are not using headphones while you are using your personal music device. Would you like to borrow a pair of mine? I have an extra pair that I would be more than willing to loan you.”
  6. That was me. After returning from a cruise this past December, my husband and I knew we were heading into a long, land-locked dry spell we would be waiting out before our next Celebrity Summit cruise in December 2023. We will be returning to The Retreat after a two-plus year hiatus. Luminae how we have missed you. But five nights really isn’t long enough to fully unwind on a cruise. After my Charlacization and pulling the trigger on the Seascape Yacht Club booking which precedes the Summit sailing, all I keep hearing from him is how long we have to wait until our next cruise. He is even more excited than normal since I added the additional seven nights on Seascape and we get to disembark one ship and embark another. He has already told me he will be trying out the water slides with me. Looking forward to GenZ’s expert thoughts on the slides and water park. Yes, Celebrity does excel at many things. Water slides and personalized plates of chocolate chip cookies are not two of them.
  7. Agree. It is so nice and comfortable to be able to predict the whole Celebrity on board machine. I had to recheck my own timeline after your post. Charla disembarked Divina on 1/20. I emailed my TA my inquiry re her thoughts on MSC on 1/24. I was status matched on 1/27. I informed my TA of status match and placed hold on stateroom on 1/30. Deposit placed and booked on 2/3. I had forgotten how influential this thread was on my not normally impulsive nature.
  8. I am slightly curious about just exactly how many of us “Celebrity loyalists” have booked MSC after following @GenerationX fulfill her champagne wishes and caviar dreams in the Yacht Club earlier this year. I would venture a bet that the number would be rather commission-worthy.
  9. Here we go…. Live Seascape YC (7/9-7/16): A Celebrity Loyalist Jumps Ship
  10. My new motto: If I can’t be on a cruise this week, I will most certainly find someone on Cruise Critic that is and follow along. Even better that she is GenX. Bon voyage you two!
  11. Congrats on your hand payout. If I can’t be on a cruise I will follow someone else’s.
  12. Not unlike the walking back of the main dining room hamburger entree? Well done Mrs. Peaches.
  13. Trying MSC for the first time, but not until December on Seascape. Also curious to try Virgin Voyages.
  14. Hi Tami, Thank you for coming back to summarize your recent experiences in the Yacht Club. We are looking forward to giving this a try later this year. It sounds like you will have quite a busy July next year. I definitely took note of NCL's 2024 port-intensive itineraries in the Med. I do not have much interest in having a lot of sea days on a cruise around the Med.
  15. Was their movement last night? One hack would be to take a large gulp prior to walking. I am envisioning a lid that could go over the rim of the martini glass. What diameter is the rim? I am thinking maybe the lid from a small coffee can (maybe a bit deficient in the class department) that could double as a coaster when not being used as a lid. I will have to whip up a batch of cucumber martinis and conduct further research on this hack I have brainstormed. I found the martini glass lids online, but they include the glasses.
  16. Oh, I thought that is where the new Crystal healing massages would be taking place. Or is this where they are putting the elevated kava experience? Either way I know I will be pre-booking all of my cruise enhancements during one of their “50% off” holiday flash sales. Better hurry and save before they are all booked up.
  17. Oh dear. Maybe I should consider packing my own inflatable life preservers? 😄
  18. As unacceptable as an unsanitary shower curtain in my book of hygiene IMHO.
  19. On board Constellation in October 2022 (Sorry, but that is the last time I sailed Celebrity.) the anytime dining entrance to the main dining room had two lines. Host stand on right was for people with reservations. Host stand on the left was for people without reservations. This is the line we always got in and roughly nine out of the ten nights we were given a pager. I guess we were going at a popular dining time. I think around 7 or 7:30 usually. We never feel like we will die if we don't eat before 8:00pm.
  20. Fortunately I had not yet discarded my supply of face coverings.
  21. I am curious if the start of the Royalization of Celebrity started with that new fangled, multi-functional, orange contraption on the side of the ship with the catchy name? Who dreamed up the Magic Carpet anyway? It makes the ships look lopsided. Maybe they will reimagine it as a hookah cafe.
  22. Well isn't this a wonderful discovery. Your recommendation looks utterly serene. Was it crowded? Did you just grab a taxi to get there? How much was cab fare?
