  1. Thank you for your wonderful report as well as your timely FB posts.😀 You provided very helpful info as we look forward to our first cruise on Beyond. After following I am somewhat grateful to not be booked in The Retreat. We had a wonderful experience in The Retreat on board Summit recently.
  2. Oh my heavens dear Charla. How devastating after all your family has been through. I have been meaning to inquire about the extent of your “hobby” farm. Having grown up on a farm (livelihood vs hobby) my initial reaction to your predicament was to offer to fly to Missouri to save the day. But once I read the words rabbits, parakeets, and bearded dragon, my mind quickly backpedaled to the reality of the extent of my capabilities.😩 Then, I thought poor, sweet Jeremy! Could I assist in some lesser way by taking his place on board Reflection this coming week?!?🤪 Then, once again, I retracted back to reality. There is no replacing this husband with a heart of gold. He’s a keeper for sure! Make sure he has his ice cream for breakfast while you are away! Be sure to consult with that travel insurance company just in case there might some chance of recouping something.🤨 And don’t forget to ENJOY the remainder of that luscious bottle of Silver Oak.🍷
  3. 8 Crazy Nights, huh?!? Hmmmm.🤔 This should be even more interesting than I was expecting. Ahhhh. Solstice-class vessels. That sweet spot for so many. We loved sailing on Reflection around the Western Med a few years ago. Among other things I will be reading for a refresher on World Class cocktail recommendations. ABC's is one of our fave itineraries with many chillaxing sea days and long port days. Looking forward to your Hato Caves report since we do this next time on Curacao. Great timing on your part setting sail a few days post-dry January. Hee hee hee.😆 We've also moved on to the reality of booking cruise-only and chasing amenity flash sales.🙄 Maybe I will chase a MoveUp offer or two depending on my Retreat per person per night ceiling. Have a GREAT🚢 vacation!!!🤩
  4. Well it looks like lattegirl10 is speaking my language. Now I want some Peach Cobbler French Toast.
  5. I never tried it, but DH was not overly impressed with the coffee machine in the Yacht Club Interior stateroom or the coffee it produced. We found the farthest forward self-service coffee station in the Marketplace Buffet to be quite convenient from the Yacht Club. As suggested above, bring your thermal travel mug. I did not do this, but I was content with the larger coffee mugs in MB and the coffee there was just fine. That early in the morning there is plenty of seating with a view either in the buffet or in the Jungle Pool Lounge. But if you walk aft through the buffet there is plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the aft of the ship. It is a nice time of day to explore the decks of the Gen Pop areas of the ship while all of the night owls sleep the day away. By then, you can meander back up to Deck 20 where if it is still a moment before 7:00am you will find the bartender at MSC Yacht Club Grill and Bar taking the last drag off his cigarette before he even thinks about pouring you a cup of coffee.
  6. You could try calling around to local antique or vintage stores. They may know of a dealer that specializes in linens that would be interested in taking the entire lot of them off your hands at a fair price with the intention of reselling them for a profit. At least you would find some solace knowing that they may eventually find a loving and appreciative home.
  7. I only have one booking for 2025 and beyond on Celebrity Xcel cruise-only on a group rate with refundable deposit. I booked on somewhat of a whim for the ship alone, but depending on how my September Beyond cruise plays out I could easily cancel. I am looking at many options, but prices are crazy across all the lines I am considering.🥲
  8. Hoping my SV on Beyond has a lounger in September especially after the reports about the scarcity of available loungers on the pool deck.
  9. Oh dear. I know it isn’t, but it all looks plastic including the folding camping table.
  10. My ghost hunting never keeps me planted at Cafe Al Bacio for too long.
  11. What is the lounger situation in the solarium?
  12. Yes! Mr. Sunshine is finally emerging in the sky over South Florida. Visiting the Venice Area Audubon Rookery in Sarasota County this morning and the air temperature here is currently only 51 degrees Fahrenheit with a feels like temp of 49, but the sun is shining brightly here. Yay!!😀
  13. I did speak with another couple on board Summit that were not at all impressed with the house band.
  14. Agree. I found the music on board Summit in December at acceptable volumes.
  15. I have previously witnessed a passenger on board wandering around the pool deck with his guitar.
  16. Wow! I can't wait to try Eden. I made some notes on all of your wonderful selections. If you happen to run into Bug Naked while you are on board, please give the "Maneuvering Support Mammal" a scratch on the head for me. Thank you for reporting from Beyond.
  17. Bon voyage! I am following along. I appreciate all of your pre-cruise build-up posts. They really set the tone and get me itching for more. Naysayers scroll on by.
  18. @Linda W.Your suite is right next to ours and likely is identical. Yes, the television pivots. You and your husband will be just fine. The Yacht Club has so much space to hang out in. We were hardly ever in our suite. We spent a lot of time on the Sundeck and in the lounge. Enjoy!!😉
  19. Yes. Normal suitcases do fit under the bed. One of ours is odd sized. So we left it standing in the corner between the desk and the closet. We found plenty of space for everything. I don’t know about hair dryers and electric razors. Last month I did a Live from Seascape report where I posted more photos of the suite, bathroom, and the rest of the yacht club. The thread has fallen to about the 13th page of the Celebrity boards. I am unsure how to link it, but below is the title in case you want to check it out.😎 LIVE SIDE-BY-SIDE Celebrity Summit Retreat & Seascape Yacht Club 12/9-21/2023 ~ 1st MSC vs Farewell (?) X Suite Experience
  20. Although I failed to bring my tape measure on board with me, our December 2023 Seascape YIN booking was advertised as 226 square feet. Judge for yourself by these photos of YIN 18029. It sure did not seem overly spacious to us….
  21. I realize this question was asked a year ago, but we had YIN Yacht Club Interior Suite 18029 on Seascape last month. While DH slept like a log the entire week, I was kept awake by weird swooshing noises similar to a toilet flushing minus the vacuum. In my mind it had something to do with the swimming pool water sloshing into overflow vats and periodically emptying down a pipe.
  22. As I have visions of unwanted wardrobe malfunctions a la the Janet Jackson Super Bowl controversy, I think there could be promise for a nice Evening Chic night side hustle here.
  23. How long did it take you to read through it all? 😄
  24. Another starter option to consider would be to order the lobster roll minus the roll.
  25. DH and I both received our 5 points each in our totals. I just thought you all should know.
