  1. I had not. When I do, it shows that it departed Carson, CA on May 30 at 2:07. It just may show up in my mailbox.
  2. Similar to an accountant listening to people refer to their tax REFUND as a tax RETURN. I’m retired but I still hear that every year. Definitely like fingernails on a chalkboard.
  3. Website Personalizer shows it is shipped and that I can pick it up at the port. Which is it? No tracking number. I’m very confused.
  4. Great news - your OceanMedallion™ for your upcoming Princess MedallionClass™vacation is on its way. Please keep the information below as your receipt. Please be sure to wear your Medallion® device to your port of embarkation to allow for an expedited, contactless arrival experience. That’s the email I got. I think it means they were shipped. I don’t remember from past cruises.
  5. I am 11 days out. I also ordered (pre-Plus), cancelled and reordered. I got an email that implied medallions were shipped. Nothing in today’s mail.
  6. Some people are actually charged despite having paid for Plus. My credit card online summary showed 2 charges pending (2 cabins) but only one charge went through. I will spend a few minutes at Guest Services and get a $10 credit on my account. No big deal.
  7. It is a minor inconvenience. No one should lose any sleep over it. They will be allowed to board.
  8. The website Personalizer has us in the green lane and says medallions have been shipped. The app claims we haven’t ordered medallions, it’s too late to do so and we are in the blue lane. Which should I believe? It looks like we are in the blue-green lane.
  9. Serious question: is the “dress code” a little more relaxed for kids? Do I need to insist my 11 year old grandson packs long pants for dinner or can he wear shorts to the MDR?
  10. The app has decided to antagonize me today. I have Plus. I have ordered medallions. I have an email saying medallions are on their way. They even charged me $10. But the app is telling me I haven’t ordered medallions and it’s too late to do so. Yesterday I was green lane. Today I’m red faced. i know it’s nothing to worry about. Either I get the medallions in the mail or I don’t. I can get them at the port with minimal effort and time. But make up your mind, app.
  11. Thanks for your review. We board in2 weeks. We are taking 2 very well behaved children. It sounds like your cruising style matches ours. I expect to have a wonderful, time.
  12. There is a selection of desserts / sweets at the International Cafe 24/7. All are less frightening than the special desserts that come with the packages.
  13. You also have the option of making MDR reservations starting at 5:00 PM and every 10 minutes thereafter with shared or private table of their choice. As well, you can just show up when you’re ready to eat.
  14. Visions of Mr Bean (if you’ve seen that movie). Mrs BV can air dry her short curly hair. And it’s a good thing. Neither of us could extract the blow dryer from its base on Caribbean Princess.
  15. Our Uber driver got a ticket for dropping us off in front of Canada Place. I think because he got out of the car to get our bags from the trunk. He was quite angry and was still arguing with the guy as we headed down the garage ramp.
  16. MSC goes even further. They will match status with other lines they don’t own. Even hotel status. I got top tier with MSC to match my Hilton Diamond status.
  17. Our neighbors have a couple of them. They don’t rap though. Just bark. I don’t know anything about their taste in vodka.
  18. Checking in at the muster station involves scanning your medallion. That’s it. Muster stations are inside, located in bars and restaurants for the most part. Watching the video on your phone, you can be anywhere. Pool. Bar. Gym.
  19. It’s even better when you order two at a time. I’ve had it as an appetizer and the size is okay. Mrs BV ordered it as an entree and even with her small appetite, it wasn’t adequate. But still delicious.
  20. Because everything with a celebrity’s name on it is better. 🙄
  21. We’ve sailed Princess twice now and not seen more than a handful of children. There will be at least 2 on Enchanted in June because I’m bringing them. On topic, still no mention of a cruise ship stabbing in the news.
  22. I remember that on older Royal Caribbean ships. I think they’ve all been retired at this point.
  23. I understand your frustration regarding vague error messages. But you called and were actually given a correct answer! Do you know how rare that is? I don’t think it’s unreasonable for Princess to require a credit card that is valid as of the date you will be dining. I don’t consider that “jumping through hoops”. And it’s not the app (for once). It’s the line’s policy.
  24. The Travel Scouts is a YouTube channel that regularly posts the top 10 cruising stories of the day/week. They avoid the amateur shock video and often let you know what rumors are not just rumors. Good place for breaking news. I haven’t seen this stabbing story there yet. Starting to think I won’t.
