  1. Not sure about Telus but when I roam with Fido, it is not a 24 hour charge (i.e. the 24 hours start when you turn your phone on), it counts the day (i.e. if you arrive 11 pm on Sunday -- that already counts as a day and once it hits midnight, that's the second day). I'd get a sim or a e-sim. An e-sim would is only for data...honestly, not sure how it works but looking into it for my upcoming cruises (i.e. it givs you data but how do you shut of voice/text so that you don't get charged for those). You can get a global one that covers USA and Caribbean. https://www.airalo.com/global-esim
  2. I'd think the easiest way would be slots -- put in room card, load the amount of money oyu want to play, play 1 hand (or lose it all) and cash out. Ticket (don't lose it) will be printed and wait till the next day to cash it out at the cashier. Easier as you do not have to interact with anyone asking about the OBC, just the slot machine. Blackjack, Roulette, etc... you have to ask the person at the table, then he has to confirm with the pit boss, etc...
  3. I think the gift soft has a lego ship -- I would buy that.
  4. This was on the MSC Canadian Website... https://www.msccruises.ca/health-and-safety-measures/caribbean A proof of COVID-19 insurance for Canadian residents is HIGHLY recommended but not Mandatory to embark. For all other guests the insurance remains mandatory.
  5. I think the point system also differ at different times of day, more points when people do not play as much. My friend wonthe golden ticket twice. We calculated, if the average YC room cost (for 3) $6K (as an example), so long as he gets the golden ticket before losing $1800, he broken even...LOL (so far he has come out ahead each time).
  6. What type of insurance to you buy (as a fellow Canadian) and if you don't mind me asking, when was your last booster shot? I am so confused to that part -- I had 2 shots of the vaccine and then the booster in Nov 2021, so not sure if I am qualified for my Dec 2022 cruise or do I need a 4th shot?
  7. I live in Toronto and I worried about taking WJ to go down to Florida because, unlike Air Canada, they only have a few flights and if one was delayed or cancelled, I might have missed my cruise. Air Canada has many flights so better chance of getting down. These are strange times...
  8. so you can eat the first batch and tell them not to refill to avoid charges? how about the alcohol stocked in the fridge?
  9. JetJock_YHZ -- I hear that the snacks in the fridge (specifically the nuts) can only be replenished once, and then they start to charge -- can you confirm. kenn_ll -- cruise insurance is still on their website but I hope what you say is true.
  10. Going with MSC -- I don't think they have an air part to thier bookings but that is always an options for others.
  11. thanks --- didn't even consider air transat -- just looked nothing up for Dec just yet but will definitely look.
  12. There was a direct flight with AC but they just took it off the table, probably a few days ago because I check daily but have not because I just caught Covid and this is the first day functioning. I hope the direct flight comes back...
  13. So I have a cruised going out of Barcelona for 2022 Xmas. There was a direct flight with AC cost $994 but I didn't jump on it. Checking google flights, they completely removed that flight from their schedule so now there is no longer a direct flight and the costs have gone up. Curious, I know it is a supply vs demand (probably why they removed the flight) thing but has anyone had that happen to them before? Do you book that far in advance? First time going to Europe..
  14. Doesn't say (at least for Canadians) that we need to buy it from MSC for Med (or Caribbean)
  15. I think the hard part is that our credit card insurance policy may have the primary credit card holder's name on it but not our family members, so would that then not follow their policy? And whether or not our credit card company will provide us documents with our names on it.
