  1. I’m solo and always request to sit alone. My request has always been honored.
  2. I’m booked on three HAL cruises this year and will be missing Barry and the Ring of Fire! It will not be the same without Barry. All the HAL cruises that I have been on either Barry or Stryker were the piano players. The best news would be Barry coming back to HAL!
  3. I recently signed up for this cruise and would like to sign up for the roll call
  4. Thank you so much! I was used to Veendam and the old Rotterdam. I used to rent a refrigerator for each cruise.
  5. I am trying to find out if the inside cabins on deck 10 have a fridge. I know the insides on lower decks are larger, have a sofa and do have a fridge. I’ve called and no one seems to have an answer. Deck 10 they are smaller and only have a desk on stool no sofa. The stock photos show a sofa but they don’t.
  6. Yes! The tunnel! Nothing cheap around here!
  7. I live on the lower Cape in Brewster. Traffic around Fourth of July is absolutely horrendous! Hours to go a few miles. With only two small bridges to the mainland make travel very difficult.
  8. Thank you so much! I’m asking my TA to cancel the free air with Oceania. He said it will be a $1,000 credit off of the bill. Nothing is free! I’ve booked Skuggi hotel. Hverfisgata 103, 101 Reykjavik. From reviews and maps it looks ok. I’m booking Boston to KEP nonstop night flight. I’ve contacted a car service and I think it’s around $150 direct airport to hotel then post cruise back to airport for additional fee. I’ve not officially booked it yet. My major problem is getting from my house to the airport! It’s Juth 4th and I live in a resort area! It could easily be a six to seven hour ordeal! On a good day one hour! My regular car service is $500 each way but I like to leave my car home. The car service will not confirm with me because one driver will be gone all day during his busy season! I’ll never find parking to be able to take the bus. Now I’m working on excursions! Thank you!
  9. Roll call not very active. Cruise booked with a TA because it’s Oceania. They are difficult to deal with. in 55+’cruises first TA assistance. I always do my own research and booking. So far prices are similar to home.
  10. I’m on the roll call! Very quiet. Disappointed in it.
  11. #1 I’m not at all familiar with Iceland! Overwhelming! What port does Oceania use? There are two options when looking at where cruise ships dock in Reykjavik. Some smaller vessels can dock at Reykjavik cruise port at Miðbakki, in the Old Harbour. However, most larger cruise ships will dock at Reykjavik cruise port at Skarfabakki. Is this the correct airport? It’s 30 miles from Reykjavik! Keflavík Airport (Icelandic: Keflavíkurflugvöllur [ˈcʰɛplaˌviːkʏrˌflʏɣˌvœtlʏr̥]) (IATA: KEF, ICAO: BIKF), also known as Reykjavík–Keflavík Airport, is the largest airport in Iceland and the country's main hub for international transportation. The airport is 1.7 nautical miles (3.1 kilometres) west of Keflavík[2] and 50 km (30 mi) southwest of Reykjavík. The airport has three runways, two of which are in use, and the airport area is about 25 km2 (10 sq mi).[citation needed] Most international journeys to or from Iceland pass through this airport. How are you getting from the airport port to the hotel? It’s over 30miles Is Oceania booking your flights? I’m arriving on July 5. I’m hoping for a nonstop flight from Boston I just booked Skuggi Hotel for July 5-7! Never been there! Hope I’m in the correct hotel! Does this look right? 16. September 2022 I took a taxi to Chihuly Garden area. Was there for a long time! Then walked back to the hotel. From Chihuly I walked to the monorail got off and then walked back to the hotel
  17. Is there a store near the port to purchase a suitcase? I’m only taking a carry on and backpack but may need to buy a suitcase to check in at the airport.
  18. I Will be staying at Seattle Waterfront Marriott prior to boarding a cruise. I’m flying in. Would like to purchase some items instead of carrying them on my flight. Here we have Wallgreen and CVS.
  19. I found them very accommodating! First class in all areas!
  20. September 2022. My flight was at 10:45am. They made the air reservation. They sent me and another couple to the airport by black car transport at their expense. I only had to tip. The other couple refused to ride with me! They insisted on having their own car transport! A lot of traffic! Huge lines at check in! this year I’m on Oceania so I’ll never get off the ship early. This year my flight is 3:45pm. Not good but only 10:45 or 3:45pm Seattle has this SpotSaver that I will try this year. https://www.portseattle.org/SEAspotsaver?fbclid=IwAR2FOsZ7JzsqdpR0yUNa_i8MMvtJMREoXKamyeFjNTPZEHemRne1usOkaYc_aem_th_ARhkqUj6UOl00kaD3ljqoEv9ldZo50pwsVS5yAz8XbvOzWXKdKAI_dgoZ3AbaXv1h28
  21. Yes! That was the best part. All very small towns. The excursions were in small passenger vans except for the one that went to Olympic National Park. That was a big bus but only a few of us on it. Most of the major sights are not in walking distance. Just little towns. The jet boat in Defiance Pass was excellent. The tour to an animal sanctuary was fun. Just make sure that you check yourself back onto the ship. We had to lick the computer at the door. one evening it was going to be “rough and windy” so that night were moved over into a cove and dropped anchor. It was fine! I think they just needed the dock for a yacht! I stayed at their hotel the night before. They came to the hotel that morning and did the ship check in at the hotel. We left from Shilshole Bay Marina It was way out somewhere! Any other questions? It was an amazing cruise! I’m an early bird! The breakfast in the lounge was st up before 6am every morning! I only went to the sit down breakfast once. The food is amazing! Deserts incredible! Hot cookies every afternoon! The evening cocktail party is more wonderful food! Snacks always available!
