  1. We didn’t go to the show but The Liverpool Beatles were all Americans 🤷‍♀️ I have resolved my Hotmail Issue: as suspected it was a time thing. Phone had reset itself to Nuuk automatically ( I get free data roaming in Greenland for some reason!) and then I had gone in and manually changed the time when we kept doing the 30 minute changes. This had mucked things up! Ive now set time to Halifax and emails flooding in! I’m currently sunbathing on aft balcony.
  2. Indian 🇮🇳 night in the buffet last night. Usually one of the few times we make a point of eating there in the evening however it wasn’t that good. The butter chicken should be creamy with a rich sauce and it was dry, the chicken 65 should blow your head off with the spices and it didn’t and there was no mango chutney which is a heinous crime!!
  3. There is something causes glitches with the time changes? My Hotmail account is totally locked out and if I make a post on FB it says I posted it 2 hours ago when it was literally a minute ago!! Contradiction in dress code for tonight: app said “dress your best” whereas paper cruise compass says 70s. Most people appear to have ignored both.
  4. Used the 2nd of our pre purchase BOGO last night at Giovannis. Restaurant was 1/4 full if that. Starters and pasta were excellent but the mains were very disappointing. The Osso Bucco (x3) was a lump of flat bone with a few pieces of meat, and not the large upright presentation we are used to: the fillet was dry, served with mash and one small piece of broccoli 🥦 It was underwhelming and we will be cancelling our reservation for there next cruise. We got presented with a $0 cheque. We actually went to a show!! Our 2nd of the cruise to see the Adult comic. He wasn’t. Closed out Vintages. Clocks back another 30 mins last night.
  5. Impressive sail away through the small gap past brightly coloured houses, Signal Hill and a lighthouse.
  6. We used vqtravels.com. Highly recommended. €445 for 6 people Run by English lady called Trisha who is married to Venetian gondolier
  7. We’ve been Screeched!! A great ceremony…at Christian’s for CAD$65 for 2 ( RCI were charging a lot more!). Ours was arranged via the other rollcall. I’ve kissed a frozen fish, drank some very strong rum and learned some Newfoundland phrases.. all before noon!
  8. They *usually* offer a shuttle from Tronchetto in Venice to Ravenna .. it takes a few hours. Call and ask another agent. Tronchetto is at the end of the People Mover which starts in Piazzale Roma: so a hotel near there would be a good option. In case there isn’t a shuttle from Tronchetto then you can always catch the airport bus back from PR to VCE and catch the shuttle there. Antiche Figure is a good hotel to look at.. not sure of your budget.
  9. Ok; no pressure but it was British 🇬🇧 night menu in the MDR. With an Exec head chef from Leeds… could this man make a proper Yorkshire pudding…?? And a prawn cocktail with rosemarie sauce ( not the fluorescent red stuff they serve usually )! He did not disappoint ps: yes I know he does t really cook it but he oversees operations And now to the silent disco 💃 Yes I have been drinking. Sorry.
  10. We thought the Asian menu last night was one of the best. Food was hot - in both temperature and spice. My spring rolls were crispy- could have done with more satay sauce, dumplings good and king po chicken was delicious! I just wish they would stop asking for our pudding order when they take our orders. I do not know until I’ve finished eating my main course whether I want it or have room for pudding!!
  11. I’m booked on Millennium in Japan for 3/25 but hoping to swap that to RCI if possible. But it would need to do a lot of Japanese ports which I think a repo wouldn’t.
  12. @OnTheJourney I’m using my iPhone 14! DH has got some with his Canon EOS80 but needs to download to laptop etc… you get instant gratification and CC posting with an iPhone!
  13. DH went on the first Rib tour at 7:30 this morning.. said it was excellent. We got it for $125. A very small place, population 1200, and we were the last cruise ship of the season. As you can see we had another clear day On the way out we passed several icebergs; and were still seeing them 5 hours after sailing
  14. And again tonight x3 but not too good.. but it’s there. Taken from aft balcony
  15. view of town with Jewel church no one seemed to live pass their 50/60s. It’s a harsh life. lake Tasersuaq on the other side of the hill
  16. Qaqortoq…. Pretty coloured houses, stone carvings, nice walk up to the lake and a stunning square glacier!
