  1. Hopefully you are still on the ship, if so insist to talk to the General Manager. You'll have to decide what compensation you feel is appropriate, they will argue that you're still getting to use the ship amenities and suite perks, so you must take that into consideration. They must have really upgraded the sound system on the Pearl, we were in that exact same room a few years ago and never heard any noise at all, even when shows were going on.
  2. This is a serious response, but Shof's may be better. By looking at the webcam you should be able to cross reference the ship location with the port on Google Maps.
  3. You are correct....but you might be able to guess by looking at the port Webcam before you head down there.
  4. You just look for your ship when you're pulling up to the port! 🙂
  5. I really hope that you dress up and wear bunny slippers.
  6. Yes. A reprice of a cruise has to be the same perks and offers. The BOGO airfare price would have to match what you purchased. So I have been denied FCC because of that.
  7. Correct, I've had tables for 2 on both lines no issue at breakfast, just had to ask. But yes, if you don't care, they'll seat you at large tables.
  8. What lines? I’ve been on Royal, MSC, and Princess and we were able to get tables by ourselves for breakfast and lunch. MSC was the only shared table at dinner but we could have requested our own.
  9. Sometimes you roll the dice and win. I normally book my own flights but have won with NCL Air the two times I have used it.
  10. Remember that the cruise port is around an hour from Rome, so take that into consideration when you do your planning and cost comparisons of transfers. My latest experience with NCL air was in the US, I was changed $278 for flights, the ones they booked were $1900 if we had booked them ourselves.
  11. Just a side note, if you have the BOGO airfare you probably can't get FCC since you're not pricing the same cruise package/perks.
  12. We were on it in January this year. The ship was in decent shape. Not sure what shows are on it now as Priscilla had ended. I don’t feel the ship was run down at all.
  13. And you’ve made final payment? If so you can request to apply for FCC to offset the difference. It’s not guaranteed and you can’t do it within 15 days of the cruise. Good luck!
  14. If you are platinum you should be well aware that getting a price drop credit after final payment is unlikely. Also do you have airfare? That locks in your rate after final payment since you’re not making an identical comparison to the current rate or offer.
  15. No, because I'm flexible and can deal with changes. Or I like to roll the dice. I've seen posts of people that do get this coverage and seem happy with it and haven't complained about the pricing. We have an annual plan since for us it's the best bang for the buck, it doesn't offer an option for missed ports.
  16. While yes they could keep you on the boat, its in their best interest to stop at ports so you spend money on their excursions.
  17. I would certainly have fun but also complain about it because I want attention!! The smart person carries the trip insurance that covers missed ports. Make the right choices and you could make some coin!
  18. And I get that it was a recent problem. You declined the perk end of story. I don't feel I was insulting or rude, I was pointing out what made your post sound a bit entitled, I missed where you correct it later.
  19. I think your wording is what got under peoples skin. Asking for compensation for not taking a free perk is a bit much. When you originally booked you don't have to take any perks if you don't want to use them, there's no compensation involved with declining. It's not any different than cancelling after you've booked.
  20. In their defense, they are from Scotland. Tipping is a lot different over there. But with that being said, if you're on a US Based cruise line you should follow their tipping protocols.
  21. I'm guessing the check in system doesn't have validation checks. It just allows any documentation because it doesn't differentiate between closed loop and non-closed. They assume that the customer is reading up on what they need for documents (I would have assumed NY-Miami would be ok, but I also always bring a passport). It obviously got caught when they started processing the passenger manifest.
  22. So you have proof they disabled the navigation screen? Pretty good chance they had a software issue. I've seen it go out quite a few times especially on older ships. Rough seas can happen any time you are part of cruising, you are in the ocean. Unless you have a Captains certification you really have no right to second guess the Captain's decision. Passenger safety is always at the top.
  23. Works fine for me, and it's a real discount. Does your account show that it's active?
