Technically, the first day (Embarkation Day) of every cruise is an at sea day. However, there are few, if any, Caribbean cruises that start on a Friday.
Didn't even think about the day of the week!

I used it on Triumph recently with my girls and it worked flawlessly but all 3 of us have new phones with the latest operating system. The only people onboard that mentioned problems that I talked to were using old phones. I think your operating system makes a difference in how it performs.
From a development stand point you typically only do thorough testing on the latest. Less on older. So this checks out.

Guessing the bring on board rules also apply at port right? Had to be cans? No more than 12.

I only drink dr. pepper. I just bring my own. But I do like coke. To bad they just don't carry both and make people happy.
They do in Texas. Because they're not Pibb drinking heathens.

I'm a soccer journalist so I try and have a jersey from everywhere. I'm pretty proud of my Palestine and Mongolia ones.

I'm doing almost the exact itinerary. For Falmouth I'm looking at just doing a tour of the town, lots of old buildings and there's supposedly an Usain Bolt statue coming. At the Cayman Islands there's a couple of neat looking museums I want to see and Cozumel I'm heading to Playa del Carmen

I believe there is a number 4- refugee status. I just looked at the immigration website and a refugee may travel outside of the US but must apply for a refugee travel document first.
This is my understanding. Also pretty sure the process is pretty simple for Cubans. Certainly easier for my residency as an Australian.

Don't try and do everything! You'll just end up exhausted. Don't let people get on you for spending time in your room. It's YOUR vacation!

Looking at the thread it's an issue on Flickr might need a setting change.

I have plenty of fun as a 20 something (for 3 more weeks at least) and I don't drink or gamble.

Basically it's a "backdoor" way for Carnival Corp to sail to Cuba and stay in compliance with current laws. Prices are way high. I'd imagine they would sell better if fares were more reasonable.
I agree. I am exactly the kind of person fathom is looking to sell to but at that price point I'm out. That said prices to DR are getting really reasonable lately.

While Carnival doesn't consider my special diet (vegan) special enough I haven't had any issues. Those two are ones they do consider so should be even easier.

Yes. Seven Mile Beach is the nicest and is only a 10 - 20 minute cab ride away from the tender dock, depending on how far up the beach you go. There are a number of public access beaches with facilities, often associated with hotels, with nominal fees for chair / umbrella use or beach access. Google seven mile beach Grand Cayman - public beaches. Very easy and less costly on Grand Cayman to do any of the ship offered excursions as well.
Here is the link to the CC Cayman Islands board. Lots of good information there:

Here is the link to the Carnival Conquest Roll Call. Find your sailing date and join in with others on your itinerary. Good way to meet fellow cruisers on your ship and get ideas of things to do on and off the ship:
A note on driving. Cayman Islands drives on the left I believe.

Given you're looking at Hobart I'd look to Spring so October, November or maybe February.

I'd probably take the price as a 50% discount rather than a free vacation.

Port days give you the option for both. I like sea days, but I prefer a port day.

I just use it as a chance to do something I wouldn't do on land so I usually get at least a shave. Depends how Treat Yo Self a mood I'm in. It is more expensive, seems to be no benefit to booking ahead or on the boat.
