Thanks for posting this, I'm doing the exact same itinerary on the exact same ship next month. I bring my own boardgames each cruise anyway, but maybe I can avoid bringing the classics. So if anyone is on my cruising I'll have board games!
I doubt you paid attention to it but what were the vegetarian options in MDR? Am I stuck with Indian every night?

People are often advised to do a search before asking a question, and then when they do there is criticism for reviving an old thread. Who cares how it is if the information is still relevant or is updated?

Yep, you can't win either way on Cruise Critic!

If you are nice to the pizza cooks they will modify the pizza to your liking within limits of what they have.
Cheers and happy cruising.
They manage to accommodate me and my weird requests!

Agree.
We are offered a combination of time off (anywhere from 3-5 days) and cash (more days off...less cash). I always opt for maximum time off.
My company does a similar system. It's a peer points system and one of the things you can trade for points is time off. That's what I do with it.

No wuckers, just a colloquial term I hadn't heard before expressed that way.
No wuckers! Gosh I miss home, especially ahead of the boxing day test

wonder if they will continue with cove balconies
I'd venture yes as they're very popular

I will never get why companies like Carnival don't get customers who have beta testing experience to do this and create a formal way to submit the response. Rather than just do it randomly. I get they're trying to get the average user response but doing it like this doesn't make for good feedback.

Checked into this when we were on the Pride a couple of weeks ago, it was 65.00 for a half hour, they teach you a few techniques and give you a small bottle of the massage oil, they also try to get you to buy more treatments, did not do it, thought it would be longer.
65 each or 65 total?

In fact, with some weddings both the women getting married retain their birth names.;)

So what do we need to know? We are a group of 30 no drinkers, non gamblers, ages 16-50. We always have a blast but this is the first time on Freedom!
Have not been on Freedom. Going just after you but I manage to have a good time without drinking or gambling

Vegemite provided, no additional charge either.
Living in America this is 100% a deal breaker

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. Being born and married on Friday the 13th I can assure people there is no bad luck involved with the number 13.
I work on the '14th' floor and have had no issues yet!

Last week almond milk was available for breakfast in the main dining room. It was brought to our table each morning.

This is great! I can drink soy but prefer almond.

What is cold to someone from northeast isn't the same for someone from Arizona. Arizonan's wear jackets when temps are below 65 LOL.
I've never even been to the North East...

Sorry but I meant sitting on a balcony in the winter is not pleasurable. Now docked in port isn't bad but o don't want to wear a coat to sit and drink coffee on my balcony but I am from Arizona and don't like the cold. I enjoy insides but if I can afford a balcony then I will.

When cruising from the Gulf you're cruising to places that aren't exactly cold in winter. Balcony is fine weather wise. Don't know if I'd want one in Alaska though.

Yeah, I wonder too if being a travel writer might provide a person with a few more perks if the cruise line knows that you could promote them. We have been told many times the ship was sold out and there were no extra cabins.
We were on P&O once and had a horrible grease smell in the cabin around lunch and dinner time when they started cooking. Even the staff couldn't stand being in our room. There were no other cabins but we did get a very substantial OBC and the smell went away after a few days. There were no extra cabins.
As a journalist myself. Most of the time when I review (food or travel) I don't let people know who I am, allows you to give an honest review.
