  1. Thanks for posting this, I'm doing the exact same itinerary on the exact same ship next month. I bring my own boardgames each cruise anyway, but maybe I can avoid bringing the classics. So if anyone is on my cruising I'll have board games!

I doubt you paid attention to it but what were the vegetarian options in MDR? Am I stuck with Indian every night?

  2. I will never get why companies like Carnival don't get customers who have beta testing experience to do this and create a formal way to submit the response. Rather than just do it randomly. I get they're trying to get the average user response but doing it like this doesn't make for good feedback.

  3. Checked into this when we were on the Pride a couple of weeks ago, it was 65.00 for a half hour, they teach you a few techniques and give you a small bottle of the massage oil, they also try to get you to buy more treatments, did not do it, thought it would be longer.

    65 each or 65 total?

  4. Sorry but I meant sitting on a balcony in the winter is not pleasurable. Now docked in port isn't bad but o don't want to wear a coat to sit and drink coffee on my balcony but I am from Arizona and don't like the cold. I enjoy insides but if I can afford a balcony then I will.

When cruising from the Gulf you're cruising to places that aren't exactly cold in winter. Balcony is fine weather wise. Don't know if I'd want one in Alaska though.

  5. Yeah, I wonder too if being a travel writer might provide a person with a few more perks if the cruise line knows that you could promote them. We have been told many times the ship was sold out and there were no extra cabins.

We were on P&O once and had a horrible grease smell in the cabin around lunch and dinner time when they started cooking. Even the staff couldn't stand being in our room. There were no other cabins but we did get a very substantial OBC and the smell went away after a few days. There were no extra cabins.

As a journalist myself. Most of the time when I review (food or travel) I don't let people know who I am, allows you to give an honest review.
