  1. They are trying to make money? Shocking. You could easily consume 3 glasses of wine, 2 coffees and 2 bottles of water and exceed in value the retail price of the premium package.
  2. If you do a Veranda Guarantee you may get one of the Porthole Verandas. The Infinite Veranda Guarantee gets you an Infinite Veranda cabin at miniumum.
  3. In United’s terms it says you have to use the credit card to purchase the ticket in order to get bag fees waived. Since you didn’t pay for the ticket (directly) it won’t qualify. ***The primary Cardmember of the following United MileagePlus® cards issued by Chase and one companion traveling on the same reservation are each eligible to receive a free first, or first and second, standard checked bag on United- and United Express®-operated flights when the primary Cardmember purchases their ticket(s) with their qualifying United MileagePlus card.
  4. Probably not. Lately for us it makes more sense to go all in and upgrade to the Elevate package.
  5. I'm not sure what Guest Services was supposed to do if there no charges. Someone could have been giving the wrong cabin# due too much time spent at the martini bar, a language barrier, the general befuddled state that half the passengers seem to be in, who knows. If people purposely giving wrong numbers to get a few free drinks is a big issue, it's not my issue to worry about. I'd let Celebrity handle that one.
  6. You still have to test before getting on the ship. No sign that is going away any time soon. At least not through summer.
  7. I foresee 315 responses of "It's just marketing hype!" Now we can close the thread. 🔓
  8. We have the same problem since the nonstops to ORD were moved earlier to 10am departures. I booked a room in Rome and if we make the flight, great. If not, they can deal with it. After 45 days for a response and "10 more days" several times to follow up on escalating the request for a 12:50 flight, I decided they can deal with it if we miss the original flight. I'm not calling anymore.
  9. No, it's the same as the old price match program. It only applies for 48 hours from the initial booking. The Best Price Guarantee program that lets you get an adjustment up until 48 hours from departure is part of Cruise with Confidence and only applies to cruises until the end of September. It's the same on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity.
  10. Cruise Care that Celebrity offers gives you cancel for any reason in exchange for a FCC at 90%. It's not a bad option if that's all you need and the 10% loss doesn't bother you. Insurance policies that include cancel for any reason are going to cost near the same amount anyway.
  11. The booking window is May 26 - June 1 so it starts tomorrow.
  12. She just said yesterday the CEO cruise on September 5th is her last cruise before vacation. She may be back right around that time but based on her past videos the schedule isn't always concrete. She will undoubtedly be at the naming ceremony in Fort Lauderdale which is the first week of November.
  13. To get around it you will need to hover over the column header C then click sort sheet A > Z then go back to cell C1 and click the filter icon and you can filter somewhat normally. As normal as Sheets allows anyway.
  14. The year and ship (columns A and C ) have a filter applied which is limiting the displayed results. Someone with edit access needs to remove the filter to view the rest of the entries.
  15. and 3.) if your cruise still has Cruise with Confidence protection and you are a US resident on a European cruise, they pay change fees + fare difference if you need to rebook due to quarantine. This is really the one and only reason I chose using FBC for our next trip.
  16. They take none of that into account. You have to tell them exactly what flights you want. For instance based on my last conversation, a 10:20am departure out of Rome is "legal" and bookable even for an international traveler. At the same time I cannot book a flight before 11:00am on a domestic departure from Fort Lauderdale where I can see the air terminal from the ship.
  17. Even if you get this particular situation sorted out to your linking you can count on many more changes in the next 7 months. I wouldn’t stress too much because it will happen again.
  18. I'll comment before the deluge of Infinite Veranda feedback. The A/C is independent from the folding doors. They are not air tight. The A/C shuts off any time the IV is open. Whether it makes the cabin hot or not will totally depend on the weather and sun outside.
