  1. Yes. Because when an immune compromised person gets a mani or pedi, gets nicked or cut then were to get a gnarly infection from the service and then gets extremely sick…that’s a problem. A problem that many people would try to place blame on someone else.
  2. Apex doesn't have a suite directly next to the Magic Carpet suites. Deck 9 and 10 have two cabins separating the MC suites from the S1's which would lessen the obstruction some. On Ascent the S1 is directly next to the Magic Carpet.
  3. I’m just saying it’s odd it’s the exact same starting price of $2325 per person as the apparent pricing mistakes on a Jan 2024 Ascent cruise and a Jan 2026 Xcel cruise that were quickly pulled back. Virtually every other similar itinerary for both started at over $4000 per person. If it’s an error and not getting booked rapidly it may go unnoticed a while.
  4. For a winter Caribbean cruise we choose late January or February to avoid the spring break crowd. Been doing it for 8-9 years now and have met several other people with the same idea. By mid to late March weather-wise we're getting close being past needing an escape from winter weather too. That suite price starting at $2325 is odd too. We have two cruises book at that rate (Ascent and Xcel) both of which appeared to be a mistake and were increased pretty quickly after being released.
  5. To go back to the golden olden days of the past, isn’t that how it was? Sky Suites were excluded from Michael’s Club or whatever it was called then. Not sure if a suite restaurant existed at that time.
  6. All of the January and February Ascent cruises are nearly sold out. Occasionally one or two will reappear with a random few cabins open then they quickly disappear.
  7. They will use whenever they have on file. You may not receive one at all if it’s not necessary. I don’t have a test that old but this is from 2017…
  8. No it is not. Everbridge is a system widely used to send out alerts and communication. I’ve received them from Celebrity since as far back as 2017. If there is a boarding delay, excessive traffic due to events in the area, weather, etc you will receive these. If these sporadic issues came up without warning from Celebrity people would also complain since so many people need extra hand holding.
  9. Celebrity's site shows most of the premium rooms sold out. Retreat and Aqua are booked, maybe a CC cabin or two is open, 2-3 IV's open. Chances of getting awarded a MoveUp at this point are extremely slim. Your credit card would be charged immediately when your bid is accepted.
  10. San Juan has been hit or miss since COVID. Fall into winter 2025 to 2026 has no ship based there. Royal Caribbean is also missing a ship sailing from San Juan in the same timeframe. In 2016-2019 range those cruises were all pretty inexpensive. It seems like they weren't very popular.
  11. Celebrity cruisers torqued off over pricing go to Oceania. Formerly loyal Oceania cruisers torqued off over Oceania's pricing go [somewhere?]. Former Celebrity cruisers are the Oceania newbies while Celebrity also fills their spots with new guests. Odd how that works out......
  12. I'm not sure how or why you are equating guaranteed cabins to the cruise being oversold?
  13. The flaw with that logic is who is to say that the 'new' cruisers (the not unhappy ones) won't be the future loyal customers? This tiny group of people rage posting on CC over butlers and cookies and what not is far from wholly representative. Companies know that some customers will eventually move on and that is okay. Their occupancy rates and the growing deposits on the balance sheet suggest they are not struggling.
  14. If they are the 1,000+ a night people there are two likely options. They are used to paying that price with nothing included so an extra up charge here and there is negligible. Or if they are All Inclusive people who are accustomed to the trash liquor and sparse house wine that you typically find on those properties anything is an improvement. Cruiselines, not just Celebrity, are capitalizing on that and charging accordingly.
  15. That's the physical location that gets passed to 911 if you had an emergency. Typically that would be your home address. If this is your first time setting up WiFi calling you will run into some issues since the initial setup needs access to the Verizon network.
  16. I nor anyone here knows what the target sold rate is at final payment, but if there are 21 cabins open that means 91% of suite inventory is booked at standard going rates without MoveUps being awarded yet. The base price for suites for that sailing appear to be in the $4,800/pp range. Prices trailed off slightly starting in May dipping below $7,000/pp. Upper level suites except 2 EV's are sold out. I don't think those numbers would create a strong case that prices scared people away. There is a base population of 1,448 other non-suite cabins also currently sold out that can bid on the remaining 21 suite cabins. That little bit of open suite space will take no time to fill.
  17. Easily fixed. Ditch the VPN. Why do you need it? As you know on iPhone If you've installed a VPN that makes changes to your DNS, messed with location or privacy settings you will frequently have this problem. Or just having your husband click the cancel button seems like a simple option too.
  18. It’s listed as Shine The Night Party in the Cruise Planner. It’s been on their social media. A different take on a white party. It’s day 4 on the cruise that departs today. New Signature Resort Deck Party New for Celebrity Ascent is a high-octane nightlife experience where the ship’s Resort Deck transforms into a radiant center stage with high-energy live performances, a prism light show, and DJ creating a pulsating dance floor to an illuminating playlist. Called Ascent After Dark: Shine the Night, guests are invited to bring out their best metallic attire to enjoy this open-air celebration under the moon and stars
  19. The comments for this topic get hugely overblown. But they can very much connect to Cellular at Sea which is when you'll incur a hefty bill. Turning on airplane mode and using WiFi will prevent that.
  20. It seems MoveUp is a significant driver behind today's suite prices. It's put them in an ideal place. Those who are willing to pay $1,200+ a night for a Sky Suite are welcomed to it, the leftover cabins are open for MoveUps generating on average an extra of at least $2,000 in revenue for a single move from non-Retreat to Retreat. The other sub sequential moves that are triggered bring in even more revenue, they don't have to provide premium drinks or premium Wifi for the winning bids, they don't have to pay travel agencies commission on the inflated cruise fare and up until recently they didn't have to kick in the $600+ in obc. I don't pay that much attention but how many cruises today go out with any open Retreat cabins?
  21. You need to log into his account to see it. His drink package will not show under your order history.
  22. A lot of agencies use the same booking software that shows a notice like this. There will be several rates shown and some that say Group XXXXXX. They aren't all the same. The agent I use always suggests emailing so he can put together the best deal often at slightly lower price than the website shows. Many people here will say TA obc isn't available to use pre-cruise which I find not be the case when I book this way too. The agency also does not have specific cabins held exclusively for them. You choose from any open cabin in the category.
  23. That's not what that means. It's indicating the travel agency has discounted group space available on that particular cruise within those categories.
  24. To play honestly you also need to include this part in your screenshot: Specific beverage offerings are subject to availability and change.
  25. I imagine your purchase will get cancelled. If you googled Celebrity Pass previously you could get to a document from RCG/Celebrity that said it was supposed to go on sale fleet wide 12/1. Equinox (?) was on sale for a few weeks prior to that as a test. Now that is gone, the link is blank and it no longer appears in the cruise planner. Seems like they may have reversed course on offering it. It’s really not that bad. User error? The app has never displayed what OP is searching for. Use the app onboard and Cruise Planner to make purchase. Pretty easy.
