  1. The Ork had a gender re-assignment to become a dam?
  2. One Honorable Mention Award trophy for you.🏆 I didn't see that one.
  3. Correct. Part of the Octagon. You spotted the hint on the wall? Your turn.
  4. My plot (or Estate for which I have a Title and can call myself Lord or Laird) is, more correctly, at Glencoe Wood which is a short distance away from Glenco proper. You can buy a little piece of Scotland in Glencoe Wood (www.highlandtitles.com). My grandfather was from Seatown of Cowie on the east coast. I have traced family back to late only late 1600s. I'm from a long line of whitefishers.
  5. I also have Scottish heritage and my wife had Welsh. I have a little plot of Scottish land at Glencoe.
  6. My apologies. I forgot I had answered this one. I recognised this from when we visited the wall on our first tour of UK in 1997. I remember thinking "Is this all of it?". I learned that most of the wall was used, over the centuries, as a ready-made stone block quarry. Will go find another pic.
  7. I have not done the ship tour but all the reviews I have read were very positive. It would be, IMO, a bucket list item, a once in a lifetime opportunity. I have done a self drive S Island tour a few years back (a couple of months before the CC earthquake) to Milford also taking Wanaka, Queenstown, Mt Cook etc., and it was fantastic. You get to see a lot of NZ and have an experience you would not otherwise get on a cruise. If you can afford it, go for it.
  8. What irks me re north America tipping culture is the % increase over time. Once was 10% then 12% > 15% > 18% > 20%. Seems the employers give employees a raise but it's left to the customer to pay it. Looks like a "Clayton's" raise to me.
  9. Love it. Except they left out drop bears.😉
  10. I recognised it as a telegraph station but can't remember where. Alice Springs?
  11. A quick search found this. https://www.vogue.com.au/shopping/reef-safe-sunscreens-australia/image-gallery/95a326d07be17bff7408e544f89985b6 BTW, spray-on sunscreens are notoriously ineffective, not to mention very expensive. https://www.choice.com.au/health-and-body/beauty-and-personal-care/skin-care-and-cosmetics/articles/aerosol-sunscreens I spend a lot of time on the water and, in summer, always wear a long sleeved "rashie" for sun protection along with broad brim hat and sunscreen. What is a rashie in Australia? A rash guard (also known as a rashie or rash vest) is a fitted top made from polyester, nylon and spandex which is typically used during water sports such as surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming or kite surfing. It is also common to wear a rash guard to the beach or by the pool on holiday.
  12. There are "reef safe" sunscreens, which contain different chemicals and other ingredients to normal sunscreens. I'm not sure of their SPF ratings. https://savethereef.org/about-reef-save-sunscreen.html The last time I went snorkelling at Lifou there was a sign asking swimmers not to use sunscreen in the coral snorkelling areas.
  13. Aldi has in-store sale of alcohol(limited range but good prices), but generally, it is sold through pubs and liquor stores.
  14. Luang Prabang is correct and is a UNESCO World Heritage listed city. Former capital of Laos until taker over by the Pathet Lao. Photo was taken in a local market which operated each evening. The food was very fresh, looked delicious and was very cheap. Your turn.
  15. I have never used Uber and likely never will. Have always had excellent service using cabs. BTW Lyle. If using a cab (and l presume Uber et al) in Oz, a solo hirer usually sits in the front seat.
  16. Next pic. Hint - Somewhere in Asia.😉
