  1. I can't speak about enforcement, and it is nothing to do with blindly following the code. A lot of Brits just tend to like dressing up when on cruises - it makes a cruise different to other holidays. On P&O, dress code is followed by 90%, with no enforcement required.
  2. No, I haven't got wifi calling. Mind you, my phone isn't as expensive as John's !
  3. And yet we were on Regal in the Med in May and they had them. If you want one, ask your steward.
  4. Should have been celebrating my birthday on a Saga Baltic cruise - but they cancelled it. So, change of plan - still got a balcony and sea view, and no problem with sea sickness.
  5. Thanks John. Had a look, but can't find anything like that on mine.
  6. The Crown Grill actually charges just under $30 . Not sure what your point is ?
  7. I don't think the MDR is open on the final day.
  8. But your cruise wasn't going to the Caribbean!
  9. I have come to accept that expecting everyone to follow formal dress codes, is more or less a lost cause in many instances. But, On P&O, formal is very much the norm, and Princess cruises out of Southampton also follow the dress code.
  10. We were on Regal for two weeks in the Med this summer. Club class dining. First formal night I wore a DJ. Many others did as well. Dress to impress night - I wore my other DJ. But I was very much in the minority. So, I think, in reality, Princess have gone down the one formal night per week cruise week. But, we are on Sky out of Southampton in April, and with more Brits on board, the dress to impress night will be more formal. I'm really sorry, but I have no recollection of the menu offerings on each night, apart from the beef carved and served at your table, which was excellent.
  11. One formal, with a better menu, and one dress to impress night, with standard menu.
  12. Thanks for the update. I would love to get rid of our landline, but our mobile signal is sporadic, to say the least. When I do an online transaction that requires me to enter a OTP, I have to walk around the garden waving my phone in the air, trying for a signal !
  13. So, now I am confused. When I think of lobster, I think of lobster pots, and small inshore boats collecting lobsters from the Atlantic off Ireland and Britain or New England. Spiny lobsters etc are just factory farmed, aren't they ?
  14. OK - I know I am being really pedantic, but it seems to me that you only have a free mobile service because of your other contracts. Would that be right ?
  15. Posted the link 5 minutes before you. Great Minds etc !
  16. Hopefully the US will swop to polymer notes, thus negating this issue. If, at the same time the US government said that all paper dollar notes would no longer be legal tender within 5 years, the entire criminal industry would be thrown into chaos !
  17. How small do you want ? https://cruisecroatia.com/
  18. As a Brit, can I just say that the Pub Lunch is nothing like a proper Pub Lunch !
  19. In all honesty, most of the time you will be too far from land to see anything.
  20. Isn't most lobster tail actually crayfish ? Big difference in price and quality. I just don't understand why people get worked up over a tough, tasteless piece of flesh.
  21. Can't say about Texas, but in the UK the moment you get on board ! Why go to your cabin, when you can have a beer ?
  22. I know I am being picky, but that means you only have free mobile service whilst paying for the rest of your contract. So, in reality, it is not possible to have a free stand alone mobile service.
  23. Blimey - I thought my Asda sim at 15p a minute was expensive!
