If you really don't care too much where your cabin is, and don't use the MDR, then a saver fare could suit you. However, check what you might get in the way of obc/parking etc if you were to book a select fare. Sometimes the difference can be quite small, and parking at Southampton can be quite expensive. If you go down the saver route, basically you are tied into that cruise, so cannot move your deposit to a different cruise.

We have had annual insurance for many years - if you travel more than once a year, the annual policy, at least in the UK, always works out cheaper. Our annual worldwide cover, including cruise cover, costs us less than £300 ($360) for us as a couple.

As a case in point, Sky Princess is currently trying to outrun bad weather in the Atlantic, and is arriving in Southampton on Thursday this week, rather than Saturday as originally scheduled.

We are cruising out of Southampton on Sky this Saturday (April 1st) Just seen on the roll call that Sky is cutting out two ports, and heading straight for Southampton, aiming to arrive on Thursday instead of Saturday, due to some horrendous weather forecast over the next few days. Can't imagine it will be much fun onboard during the next 72 hours.

I would just say that on our particular cruise, a large percentage of the passengers had booked it as a true 14 day cruise, and probably only 25% of the passengers disembarked on day 7. Because of this, the menus were not repeated.
