  1. On our last cruise on the Muse in December the music started at 8.45pm.
  2. We recently sailed on the Muse and the quality of the steaks was superb, both in Atlantide and the Grill. We are fussy about meat, especially steaks and we were very pleasantly surprised as we normally avoid ordering steaks on cruise ships but this became our go to dinner if nothing else on the menu appealed.
  3. True, there was apparently a small enough supply to order and drink in the room but not for them to be able to provide it in the bars. We don't really enjoy dinking in our cabin.
  4. And Pommery and Becks beer from Singapore to Sydney
  5. The first sailing of the Muse after dry dock is on 2 December. Boarding time states 2.00pm. They have had 2 months to disinfect the boat so I am assuming if people get there earlier they should be able to board before 2.00pm since there are no disembarking passengers or turn around issues to deal with.
  6. Well that makes sense, thanks for clarifying.
  7. Thanks for all the feedback. From what I have seen online and in videos the Dolce Vita area on Muse looks very cavernous and maybe not very atmospheric given its size - having the bar in the centre as it is on the Dawn and Moon would give the area a little more focus. I also smiled when I read the comment about the red running track s that is exactly what I thought when I saw pictures, why an earth paint it red - a bit of an eyesore to look at from the pizza restaurant imo. I assume that since Muse doesn't have all the Salt venues that the other eateries must be somewhat larger given that they have all the other restaurants except for Indochine. So the Salt Bar (with I know is not very large) and the Salt kitchen must have eaten into some of the square footage somewhere?
  8. Just wondering what the main differences are between the 2 newest ships, Dawn and Moon, to the slightly older Muse. I know of course that Muse doesn't have any of the Salt venues - bar, restaurant, cooking school. But are there any other differences that people like or dislike between the ships? I know many love Indochine and were sad not to have it on the Moon and Dawn perhaps? There have been many glowing reviews about both Dawn and Moon recently but unfortunately it appears that the last reviews about Muse before she was wet/dry docked were less than stellar so I'm just curious as to why that might be? I certainly hope that the experience we have on the Muse is as good as what people are experiencing on the sister ships.
  9. Muse? After a lengthy dry dock maybe this was done?
  10. Well we're up super early and staying only 10 minutes from the pier so thought we might walk down and have a look - still a few hours to go before we board so we'll be coming back to the hotel for breakfast and do some last minute shopping for some essentials before boarding at 1.00. Very excited!
  11. We just received an email informing us that on our upcoming cruise on QE on Monday7 November masks will be required for the first few days (duration to be confirmed once on board) in all indoor areas except when eating, drinking or exercising in the gym. I assume this must be due to the fact that there are increasing numbers of cases on board? Is anyone on QE now who can confirm the situation on board and if mask wearing is mandatory at the moment?
  12. Thanks Victoria2, glad to know we get unlimited supplies in the cabin and to be quite honest we are fine with chilled water with our meals but just wasn't sure if they served it or if one was required to purchase mineral water only.
  13. Just wondering if bottled still and sparkling water can be purchased with the drinks package? Also, what type of water is normally served with meals in the QG? TIA
  14. If table 10 is the one from which your photo was taken and which looks to be opposite the round two top by the window then this is the table that we are actually interested in as it appears from videos of the QG I've seen that this table doesn't have another two top very close by. If you could confirm, I will definitely ask my TA to put in a request and cross our fingers. TIA
  15. Thanks, Silver Spectre. That's not a bad drop for an included wine.
  16. I think I'm the one losing the plot! And yes, that is the gala evening that we have and yes, they could have added an extra one in on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th nights.
  17. Good to know, thanks exlondoner.
  18. Is this an included wine? And if so is it usual for a whole bottle of included wine to be left on the table, or do they serve it by the glass?
  19. Thanks Bklynboy8, I will call Cunard and let then know of our request. The photos you posted of the QG on QV do look very close indeed. From images I've seen of QE it doesn't appear to be as cramped.
  20. Who do you email? We are in QG on QE in November and we are in a Q4, it doesn't sound like we'll stand a chance of a window table, especially as this is our first cruise with Cunard. But I would appreciate a table that is not too close to another 2 top. If I'm able to make the request ahead of time we might have more of a chance of securing a good location. Are there any 2 tops in QG on QE the anyone can recommend that still afford nice ocean views and have good spacing between other tables?
  21. As much as I would very much like to have more than one formal night during our 8 day cruise I hope they don't add another one on once we are on board. It's ok for the gents but for the ladies, we need to have a little more advance warning especially if it's a theme. The one gala night we do have is roaring twenties so as long as the one they add is black and white then it could be a little problematic. I have in any case only packed the one gala evening outfit but lots of other cocktails dresses which will have to do if there are more additions.
  22. So basically one every four days and it's not over Christmas and NY as opposed to just one on our 8 night cruise - very strange!
  23. I've heard of certain Grills packages when booked in the US including drinks and gratuities but have not heard of internet being thrown in as well?
