  1. Unless you're wanting to go outside of the Halifax area and seeing your tours so far, I might recommend doing a HOHO or just walking it as there's a lot within walking distance as the waterfront/port is downtown.
  2. Mmmm, spanakopita (spinach pie). My friend from work was Greek and her mother would make that, potato pizza and baklava for us every couple of months!
  3. This is good news to me. Will have 3 weeks next Sept on the Pride and will need to do some work while in Bermuda, but, small price to pay!
  4. LOL Maybe AC isn't such a bad option...
  5. Looks like 5 pin bowling. When we moved to Canada and saw it, we were baffled too. LOL ended up in a league for a few years, not sure if it was the bowling or the Friday night drinking, but, it was fun!
  6. Me too! Plus, doing the Bermuda before it for a B2B. Broke it to the boss today. Have enough vacay, but, they frown on 3 weeks together, so will work remotely for a few over the two cruises and we'll call it 2 weeks. Whew! Will be nice to see any changes by TxTeach after the dry dock. Can't wait for that review, it looks like a good one!
  7. Now that's worth yelling about! You can win it on much less, say $5 😉 That's the other thing I miss on the Spirit Class, I love the promenade just to sit and people watch, take a break from the casino & listen to the band.
  8. Hmmm looks like they're doing boxes now instead of plates & covers. Wonder if that's going to all ships?
  9. That always cracks me up. My last cruise, my friend and I were sitting there playing and same thing, but, it was two women. They start screaming, so her hubby whips around the corner ... $10! But did you get your beach towel?
  10. As the Blue Iguana closes so early, it would be a good space to share with Shaq's as a late afternoon/dinner option. Or convert one part of the buffet to Shaq's and/or just give a couple options from the menu daily. I'd also like to see a JiJi Kitchen/Bonsai Sushi combo. On both the Legend and the Pride its usually empty, rarely more than a few in there at any time. Open up the offerings and get more patronage. I'd do JiJi options in a heartbeat!
  11. Enjoy! My fav Conquest class is Liberty, but, I think my favourite is the Spirit class, especially Serenity. In a perfect world, the main pool on the Spirit class would be of the stadium seating variety. I like that you can be involved as you want or sit up and observe/enjoy the festivities without being in the middle of it all. My next 5 cruises are on either Legend or Pride. I have a Caribbean Journey this year, then a B2B next spring, followed by a B2B of Bermuda & Greenland Journey ... LOL the boss doesn't know this yet and I may have to work a few days, but, I'm willing to suffer working in Bermuda!
  12. On the Legend in November, Chopsticks closed at 2 or 3 dependent on the day, can't remember if it's port or sea day which is late and the seafood corner opens within 30 mins to an hour later. The change over is pretty quick.
  13. I'm with a few others here as well. My last cruise was a Journeys on Legend and I ate in the DR one night, Steakhouse one night, Seafood Shack two nights and the rest at the Lido/Deli. I did it based on your review out of CA when I saw most of the offerings were the same as the dinning room! Much easier & quicker!
  14. LOL please tell me that's not your beer ... If so can understand copious cups!
  15. Wow, Sunset looks very different and presume a lot of the change is due to damages after Irma & Maria. Had to look up when I was last there, 7 years, didn't realize it had been so long! The pool area wasn't yet there.
  16. I'm thinking that's an issue with the manufacturer. There's no way they should be showing that kind of wear already!
  17. Love it and yeah I kinda had a feeling something was up with the name dropping and 'body' under the blankets LOL.
  18. Good thing you weren't at the bar! Looks delicious and looking forward to the review!
  19. I hear you. We friends were reminiscing just a couple weeks ago about when we would travel there with all the kids about 20 years ago. We would get the 5 day hopper passes that never expired and were transferable. I want to say they were like $125 but none of us could remember exactly. Those were the days of 20 min waits to get on a ride and you could repeat if you wanted. No such thing as a fast pass back then, granted the crowds were a LOT smaller!
  20. LOL of course your flight was the only one. Though in my mind I would think that if I stayed with the flight option it would have been cancelled, so I would have jumped in the car too and actually may have planned that way from the start. I'm a road trip lover! Marriott girl here and same, though I do try to get suites as often as possible. I like having the couch to sit on to truly wind down after the drive.
