  1. We'll see just how good CC servers are! That and Journey's cruises!
  2. Great start Sid. Remember to take time to be in the moment and enjoy your cruise and then give us the details. We'll be here waiting when you're ready😉
  3. Was on the Legend for 2 weeks at the start of November and for the first time ever ate dinner on the Lido. I had never considered doing so until Jamman was saying in his last few reviews that they ate on the Lido and most of the food selections were the same as the MDR, which of course makes sense. I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was, especially the daily carving station and yes real, full turkeys! As well, the chef was very good with his pasta courses, very flavourful and nothing like jarred sauce, which is frankly what I had expected based on some comments.
  4. Reading your review and just realized something. I have a few Funships on boarding day. It's my, I'm on a cruise ship ready to sail away tradition, but, then never have another the whole cruise! LOL am I the only one?
  5. Just back from my Journey and missing the warm weather came home to cold and snow on the drive back thru PA! Jumping on to live vicariously and warm back up LOL!
  6. I just boarded the Legend on Sunday for a Journey cruise and suites had priority boarding.
  7. Thanks as always for the great review and whetting my appetite for my next sailing from Baltimore. First on Legend in 15 days, whoo hoo!
  8. I'm like that with the beach too. I feel it in my bones and it's definitely my happy place. I'm the type of person that loves being near the water, on the water or in the water!
  9. Check Home Depot, Lowes or a local Pool & Patio store. They carry very similar styles, if not the same. We purchased ours from a Pool & Patio store in our area and this should be a good time of year to buy!
  10. Get her nice and warmed up will be boarding October 30th for the partial Panama transit cruise.
  11. I sailed when it was Liberty out of SJU, one of my all time favorite cruises!
  12. Supplying ships, stores, etc. has affected everyone, including, NCL, RCL, etc. The forums are full of stories of things not in stock or running out quickly during cruises, etc. It appears all cruise lines are suffering from some short staffing, supplies, etc. If you're expecting a 5 star sailing, it's not that, but, then neither is NCL. If you go with a mindset that everything may not be perfect, be it, NCL or Carnival, you'll have a good time. Me, I've sailed both and prefer Carnival (which is just my personal opinion) and I'm in the 'boat' of saving the $$ and doing Carnival. ETA: I've sailed the Pride and liked the layout, serenity, etc. It doesn't feel crowded. Does it need a drydock, yes, perfect it is not, yet nothing so bad that it affected the enjoyment of our cruise.
  13. I actually have gotten used to hard plastic, washable straws and much prefer them now. LOL have them at work, home, in the car, etc. and especially good with a thick slushy drink or shake, they don't collapse on themselves. Now paper and flavoured straws, just no, they change the taste of the drink, degrade to quickly and have an awful mouth feel.
  14. One thing NCL & RCL gets right, alcohol packages work on their islands, but, I still prefer Carnival!
  15. Very nice! I'll be on her at the end of Oct for the partial Panama Canal Journey cruise.
  16. I feel you, though mine is not indifference, it is completely and utterly intolerant!
  17. Yay, another Wildra review. What a week for reviews! You and W are looking good and as always I laughed thru the start, you have a fantastic sense of humor and a way of telling a story. I just did a road trip from Toronto to FL and back and gas seriously fluctuates thru every state. You do NOT want to know what we pay up here! LOL I also got the roadkill notice while driving. Can't wait for more!
  18. Not a huge ramen fan, but that looks spectacular! but bring your own glass ...
