My 34 year old and his fiancé just went on their second cruise and are quickly becoming cruise fanatics ( the apple doesn’t fall far the tree lol). They love to dress up for formal night. A bit surprising considering their age. You tell to think of it for the older set. But they have fun with it. They take plenty of pictures and enjoy looking sharp

Thanks it really helps to know that the number of items that the number of items to go in the bag is substantial. We have a regular wardrobe, not wash and wear. I certainly don’t have work out clothes, just eating clothes 😀

Thanks. I never had a need to address laundry issues before so I didn’t know that as elite we were also entitled to these dry clean and pressing benefits

We are Elite so I’m guessing one bag each. We will be traveling in Europe for 12 days before our transatlantic so we will be boarding with dirty clothes, yuck! How much does a bag hold? How big is it? Thanks

Ordinarily I would try to change. But on this cruise we are traveling with my son and his fiancé and they also have jr suite on 13, directly across the elevator banks from us. (Those were the only 2 available at the time) Not likely that both JR suites can be moved in close proximity to each other. I’m leaning towards staying in the room I’m in for that reason, unless someone who has been in a stateroom similarly situated indicates that the noise is bad. I can deal with some, but not sure I could deal with them dragging chairs and carts setting up for breakfast

Our stateroom will be on deck 13 (13636) on Anthem of the seas. It appears to be below Johnny Rockets. Has anyone stayed in this area before? Will the chair and foot noise be heard in our stateroom?

Thank you all for your responses. From what has been posted it doesn’t seem that the lounge has much to offer. Certainly would not be the reason to upgrade. Since we are already booked in a junior suite we can have dinner in the coastal kitchen provided they have availability and we have 3 specialty restaurants booked. So I’m not sure if I want to upgrade in order to have breakfast and lunch there. We usually order room service to enjoy breakfast on our balcony, and lunch is hit or miss on port days. It’s tempting to throw in a minimum bid on a grand suite for the extra space but probably not worth the $

When sailing on Oasis class ships we usually try to book a grand suite so that we have access to the suites lounge. We like that they offer beer and wine most of the day and the lounge is adjacent to the coastal kitchen. We have an upcoming sailing on the Anthem and are booked in a junior suite which seems very nice and big enough for the hubby and I. The only reason we would consider upgrading to a grand suite would be to have access to the suite lounge. Is it worth it? It doesn’t appear to have the complementary wine and beer during the day. Do they have a complementary happy hour? Is it adjacent to the coastal kitchen?

For us, part of the fun is getting dressed up for “formal night” ( Not sure what it is called now). As retirees we rarely get dressed up anymore, so it’s a fun change of pace. I even bought the hubby a tux for our first transatlantic coming up in October. We might be in the minority but we don’t care. We enjoy seeing others in their finery as well. With that said, that is just us. To each his/her own.

We dock in Cadiz from 8-5. Our ship offers a “Seville on your own” tour which basically takes two hours to get to Seville and then you have 3 1/2 hours to explore before the two hour bus ride back to the ship. Is it worth all the traveling or is exploring Cadiz a better option? Thanks

Perhaps this has been asked before but i can’t find the answer. Can anyone recommend a pharmacy near Sagrada Familia for a supervised rapid antigen test? It is required prior to our transatlantic out of Barcelona. Thanks

Thank you! I’m so excited about it. I’m really looking forward to the days at sea, doing nothing. I was on a Mediterranean cruise in April and it was great but exhausting since it was 5 ports in seven days! Enjoy the Edge!

Past Beyond cruisers: I’ll be on the Beyond in October and have a traditional set dining time: 8:30, (not Select dining). I know that the MDR has been divided into four separate restaurants each with their own theme: Normandy, Cypress, Tuscany and Cosmopolitan. Will we be arbitrarily assigned to one of these? If so, how easily can we arrange to go to the remaining restaurants on different dates? Or, do we just show up at any of the 4 restaurants on whatever day we choose, without prior arrangement, and we will be be seated as long as it is at our assigned time of 8:30?

Celebrity move up finally responded to my email. They said they have my bids and they are under review. I’m hoping that’s a good sign. But I wouldn’t bet on it. I find that the information from celebrity reps vary in consistency and accuracy

I get a message to make sure im within 21 days of sailing, even though I was able to get to my bids on that page in the past. The good news is that celebrity move up responded to my email and said that my bids are still there and under review. I’m hoping that is the case, I’ve found that the celebrity reps are not always right or even consistent
